Local Spectral Variability Features for Speaker Verification [PDF]
Speaker verification techniques neglect the short-time variation in the feature space even though it contains speaker related attributes. We propose a simple method to capture and characterize this spectral variations through the eigen-structure of the ...

Speaker Verification Using Autoregressive Spectrum of Speech Signal in Composite Vector Stochastic Processes Model Representation [PDF]
This paper deals with the speaker verification system similar to a fingerprint or an eye scanner. For these purpose a long-term words' model and its spectral characteristics were used.

ABSTRACT Background Animal‐assisted activities (AAAs) with therapy dogs have shown positive effects on patient well‐being and quality of life in various areas of medicine, including pediatric oncology. However, research on this topic is limited. The aim of this study is to present the current status of AAA in pediatric oncology in Germany, Austria, and

Explicit modelling of session variability for speaker verification [PDF]
This article describes a general and powerful approach to modelling mismatch in speaker recognition by including an explicit session term in the Gaussian mixture speaker modelling framework. Under this approach, the Gaussian mixture model (GMM) that best

Speech enhancement ini-vector speaker verification system
To solve the model-mismatch problem in text-independent speaker verification system when training environment differs from recognition environment,We propose a i-vector speaker verification system using speech enhancement in front-end preprocessing it ...

Determining Parental Factors for Clinical Trial Attrition in Pediatric Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia
ABSTRACT Background/Objectives Despite high enrollment rates on Children's Oncology Group (COG) protocols, attrition after initial consent is challenging, introducing bias and prolonging trial completion. While adult oncology literature has identified predictors of withdrawal, little is known about caregiver decision‐making for child participation in ...

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.
