Kalman Filter Compensation for a Special Class of Systems

IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems, 1977
Filter compensation techniques for several special but practical cases are discussed. A general set of bias and covariance equations for linear filters with modeling errors is first summarized. A method for relating the modeling errors to the selection of the covariance of "process noise" for model error compensation is suggested.

The Treatment of Special Items in Determining CEO Cash Compensation

SSRN Electronic Journal, 2014
Prior literature documents that CEOs are rewarded for any positive component of income and are partially shielded from negative special items. However, the incidence of and rules pertaining to nonrecurring items significantly changed over the last two decades, calling for a reassessment of earlier research.

Compensation of spatial dispersion of an acousto-optic deflector with a special Keplerian telescope

Optics Letters, 2016
Compensation of spatial dispersion caused by the acousto-optic deflector (AOD) when using a femtosecond laser is difficult across the whole scanning range of the system, and this is a significant impediment to its use. In conventional methods, the dispersion of the AOD was compensated only when it was at a particular position, while at other positions,

Is dissonance reduction a special case of fluid compensation? Evidence that dissonant cognitions cause compensatory affirmation and abstraction.

Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, 2015
Cognitive dissonance theory shares much in common with other perspectives that address anomalies, uncertainty, and general expectancy violations. This has led some theorists to argue that these theories represent overlapping psychological processes. If responding to dissonance and uncertainty occurs through a common psychological process, one should ...

Reports on the varying advantages and disadvantages but states that the pros outweigh the cons.

A Reconfigurable Half-Bridge Compensation Topology-Based WPT System With Constant Current and Constant Voltage Outputs

IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems - II - Express Briefs, 2023
A reconfigurable half-bridge compensation topology is proposed in this brief for automatic guided vehicles (AGV) wireless charging system. Considering the cost and reliability, a simple and reconfigurable structure without extra passive element and ...
