On Generation of the Groups $SL_n(\mathbb{Z}+i\mathbb{Z})$ and $PSL_n(\mathbb{Z}+i\mathbb{Z})$ by Three Involutions, Two of Which Commute

open access: yesИзвестия Иркутского государственного университета: Серия "Математика", 2022
M. C. Tamburini and P. Zucca proved that the special linear group of dimension greater than 13 over the ring of Gaussian integers is generated by three involutions, two of which commute (J. of Algebra, 1997).

Prognosis of Long‐Term Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy and the Impact of Combined Continuous Intravenous Sodium Infusion Therapy

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Patients requiring long‐term continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) generally have poor prognoses. This study evaluated whether adding continuous intravenous sodium infusion (cIVNa) is associated with improved hemodynamics and outcomes in patients undergoing long‐term CRRT for ≥ 7 days.

Actions of formal groups on special quotients of algebras

open access: yesAtti della Accademia Peloritana dei Pericolanti : Classe di Scienze Fisiche, Matematiche e Naturali, 2007
Let k be a field of characteristic p > 0 and let F be a one dimensional commutative formal group over k. The endomorphisms of a k-algebra A that defines an action of F on A when A is isomorphic to the quotient B/pB, with B torsion-free Z-algebra, are ...

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

Classification of young biathlonists on the structure of their special physical preparedness. [PDF]

open access: yesPedagogìka, Psihologìâ ta Mediko-bìologìčnì Problemi Fìzičnogo Vihovannâ ì Sportu, 2011
The structure of the special physical preparedness of sportsmen is considered in age 14-17 on the stages of annual macrocycle. Three discriminant groups of sportsmen are resulted with relatively by even development of indexes of the special preparedness.

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.
