Study of degenerate derangement polynomials by λ-umbral calculus

open access: yesDemonstratio Mathematica, 2023
In the 1970s, Rota began to build completely rigid foundations for the theory of umbral calculus based on relatively modern ideas of linear functions and linear operators.

Matrix Representations of a Special Polynomial Sequence in Arbitrary Dimension [PDF]

open access: yesComputational Methods and Function Theory, 2012
The paper is devoted to a special polynomial sequence of binomial type in \((n+1)\) real variables with values in the real vector space of paravectors in a Clifford algebra. It is shown that here the matrix multiplication admits a type of factorization that overcomes the restrictions of non-commutativity and solves some problems connected with a ...

New asymptotic expansions on hyperfactorial functions

open access: yesComptes Rendus. Mathématique, 2021
In this paper, by using the Bernoulli numbers and the exponential complete Bell polynomials, we establish four general asymptotic expansions for the hyperfactorial functions $\prod _{k=1}^n {k^{k^q}}$, which have only odd power terms or even power terms.

Sequences of Groups, Hypergroups and Automata of Linear Ordinary Differential Operators

open access: yesMathematics, 2021
The main objective of our paper is to focus on the study of sequences (finite or countable) of groups and hypergroups of linear differential operators of decreasing orders.

λ-q-Sheffer sequence and its applications

open access: yesDemonstratio Mathematica, 2022
Recently, Kim-Kim [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 493 (2021), no. 1] introduced the degenerate Sheffer sequence and λ-Sheffer sequence. The purpose of this article is to study λ-q-Sheffer sequence and the degenerate q-Sheffer sequence, which are derived from the ...

Degenerate Lah–Bell polynomials arising from degenerate Sheffer sequences

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2020
Umbral calculus is one of the important methods for obtaining the symmetric identities for the degenerate version of special numbers and polynomials. Recently, Kim–Kim (J. Math. Anal. Appl.

Melham's sums for some Lucas polynomial sequences [PDF]

open access: yesNotes on Number Theory and Discrete Mathematics
A Lucas polynomial sequence is a pair of generalized polynomial sequences that satisfy the Lucas recurrence relation. Special cases include Fibonacci polynomials, Lucas polynomials, and Balancing polynomials.

Algebraic basis of the algebra of block-symmetric polynomials on $\ell_1 \oplus \ell_{\infty}$

open access: yesKarpatsʹkì Matematičnì Publìkacìï, 2019
We consider so called block-symmetric polynomials on sequence spaces $\ell_1\oplus \ell_{\infty}, \ell_1\oplus c, \ell_1\oplus c_0,$ that is, polynomials which are symmetric with respect to permutations of elements of the sequences.

On the associated sequences of special polynomials

open access: yes, 2013
In this paper, we investigate some properties of the associated sequence of Daehee and Changhee polynomials. Finally, we give some interesting identities of associated sequence involving some special polynomials.
