Nonlinear Vibration Characteristic Analysis of Electric Vehicle–Road Coupling System

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mechanical System Dynamics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In‐wheel motor drive is the developing direction of automobile electrification and intelligence. However, the increased unsprung mass in in‐wheel motor‐driven electric vehicles (IWMEVs) leads to higher dynamic tire loads, thereby intensifying vehicle–road coupling interactions. To address this problem, an 11‐degree‐of‐freedom nonlinear dynamic

Periodic and Recursive Control Theoretic Smoothing Splines

open access: yes
In this paper, a recursive control theoretic smoothing spline approach is proposed forreconstructing a closed contour.Periodic splines are generated by minimizing a cost function subjectto constraints imposed by a linear control system.

Locally Refinable Splines over Box-Partitions

open access: yes, 2012
We address progressive local refinement of splines defined on axes parallel box-partitions and corresponding box-meshes in any space dimension. The refinement is specified by a sequence of mesh-rectangles (axes parallel hyperrectangles) in the mesh ...

Modeling Biocemented Sands: Hypoplastic Model for MICP‐Based Ground Improvement

open access: yesInternational Journal for Numerical and Analytical Methods in Geomechanics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Bio‐cementation offers a sustainable and low‐carbon alternative to conventional ground improvement methods, aligning with the growing demand for green geotechnical solutions. To enable reliable numerical simulation of bio‐cemented soil behavior in engineering applications, advanced constitutive models are required to account for the effects of

Pretreatment Effects of Conventional and Reactive Extrusion on LLDPE Waste Pyrolysis

open access: yesPolymer Engineering &Science, EarlyView.
Schematic overview of the pyrolysis study using original and pretreated LLDPE waste samples. Pretreatment was performed via twin‐screw extrusion at 450°C: without additives (REX), with peroxide (REX‐RO2), or with polypropylene (REX–PP). All four samples underwent pyrolysis at 450°C–475°C for 15–45 min.

Ultrasound‐Assisted Epoxy Resin Curing Monitored by Impedance Spectroscopy

open access: yesPolymer Engineering &Science, EarlyView.
Ultrasound enhances epoxy cure rates via localized heating without altering cure kinetics. Impedance spectroscopy provides a direct, non‐destructive measure of cure progression, enabling accurate mapping of degree of cure in real time. ABSTRACT Epoxy resins are widely used in aerospace and automotive manufacturing as structural adhesives and matrices ...
