Investigating the Low‐Temperature Phase Stability of the Binary Ta–W System

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Atomistic simulations show that the binary Ta–W system forms ordered intermetallic phases, B2‐TaW and D03‐TaW3, as 0 K ground states. Configurational entropy, however, lowers the free energy of the disordered bcc solid solution, which becomes the stable phase above about 400 K.

FastNano Liquid: An Automated Platform for Small‐Angle X‐ray Scattering‐Based Materials Discovery

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
We present FastNano Liquid, an automated small‐ and wide‐angle X‐ray scattering platform for the combined synthesis and characterization of (nano)materials. The platform is coupled to varied reactor workflows for both in situ studies of reaction kinetics and ex situ screening of synthesis conditions to support machine learning‐guided exploration ...

Response scenarios for the deltaic plain of the Rhône in the face of an acceleration in the rate of sea-level rise with special attention toSalicornia-type environments

Estuaries, 2002
One of the most critical problems facing many deltaic wetlands is a high rate of relative sea-level rise due to a combination of eustatic sea-level rise and local subsidence. Within the Rhone delta, the main source of mineral input to soil formation is from the river, due to the low tidal range and the presence of a continuous sea wall.

Implementation of Fabric-Type Flexible Platform based Complex Bio-signal Monitoring System for Situational Awareness and Accident Prevention in Special Working Environments

Advanced Science and Technology Letters, 2014
This paper was aimed at implementing fabric-type flexible platform based complex bio-signal monitoring system which can acquire and monitor complex bio-signals (heartbeat, body temperature, ECG, and EMG) and additional situational information (3-axis acceleration, temperature, illuminance, humidity, and neighboring image) of special workers employed in

Two types of pattern of specialization of the economic environment of a highly industrialized country in Western Europe

Empirica, 1988
The specific pattern of specialization of highly industrialized countries is closely linked to factor endowments, although the correlation coefficients are probably positively biased, because the products have not been weighted with their market shares. The correlation between this pattern and market growth is much weaker.
