ABSTRACT Breathable membranes that reject chemical warfare agents (CWAs) are required for next‐generation protective apparel. A dual‐function graphene oxide (GO)‐polyamine architecture is introduced that addresses the long‐standing tradeoff between vapor transmission and CWA selectivity.

Coexistence for species sharing a predator
A class of equations describing the dynamics of two preys sharing a common predator is considered. Even though the boundary and internal dynamics can exhibit oscillatory behavior, it is shown that these equations are permanent if and only if they admit a positive equilibrium.

The demography of invasion: Tephritids of La Reunion, a unique model to study invasion and competition [PDF]
Despite quarantine procedures, many invasions of polyphagous fruit flies (family Tephritidae) have been observed in various parts of the world. These invasions usually result in decreased numbers of, and niche shifts by, established species, be they ...

Beyond the Edge: Charge‐Transfer Excitons in Organic Donor‐Acceptor Cocrystals
Complex excitonic landscapes in acene–perfluoroacene cocrystals are unveiled by polarization‐resolved optical spectroscopy and many‐body theory. This systematic study of a prototypical model system for weakly interacting donor–acceptor compounds challenges common views of charge‐transfer excitons, providing a refined conceptual framework for ...

Species coexistence of marine nematodes [PDF]

The carbon cloth electrode with targeted pyridinic nitrogen doping, achieved via urea pyrolysis, effectively modulates the adsorption of Cr(II) species and enhances electron transfer, leading to significantly improved kinetics of the Cr(II)/Cr(III) reaction. The material demonstrates a high discharge capacity of 689.3 mAh and an energy efficiency of 72.

With a charge‐ion coupling engineering strategy, a K+/vacancy disordered K0.5Mn0.8Co0.1Ti0.1O2 material has been designed. The targeted transition metal doping disrupts charge ordering and inducing K+/vacancy disordering, thereby enabling rapid K+ diffusion through interconnected channels and a stable solid‐solution reaction mechanism.

LL‐37 Driven Phase Transition and Stacking in Oligolamellar Gram‐Negative Bacterial Membrane Models
This work establishes oligolamellar bacterial membrane models to investigate how LL‐37 disrupts the complex dual‐bilayer architecture of Gram‐negative bacteria. Combining SAXS, cryo‐TEM, electrophoretic mobility measurements, and coarse‐grained simulations, it reveals cardiolipin‐driven phase transitions leading to bicelle‐like structures and membrane ...
