Species composition of food-spoiling mycelial fungi
Microbiology, 2009We investigated the composition of the microflora that spoils foodstuffs (the surface of hard cheeses and sausages) at agribusiness factories. Mycelial fungi, mostly ascomycetes of the order Eurotiales belonging to the genus Penicillium play the main role in spoiling food.

Lipid composition of testes from various species
Comparative Biochemistry and Physiology, 1965Abstract 1. 1. Of eight species, guinea pig testis had the highest total lipid content (3·4 per cent) and the human had the lowest (1·6 per cent). Phospholipids ranged from 64 to 86 per cent of testicular total lipids in dog, mouse, rat, rabbit, chicken and hamster while guinea pig had 41 per cent and human 56 per cent. 2. 2. Total fatty acid

Leishmania species: Fatty acid composition of promastigotes
Experimental Parasitology, 1974Abstract The fatty acid composition of the total lipid fractions of five different Leishmania organisms grown on Eagle's medium was determined by gas chromatography. The major fatty acids identified in the total lipid fractions of L. donovani, L. tropica major, L. tropica minor, L. tropica (England strain), and L.

Lipid composition of 30 species of yeast
Lipids, 1976AbstractThe detailed composition of cellular lipid of more than 23 species of yeast has been determined quantitatively by thinchrography on quartz rods, a method previously used for estimating cellular lipids of seven species of yeast. That data was fortified by neutral and phospholipid quantitations on 30 species of yeast cells.

Taxonomic Structure: Species Composition
2015Terrestrial ecologists long ago remarked on the richness of the floras and faunas of tropical environments relative to colder climates. The diversification within many specific taxonomic groups is clearly greater in the tropics than in temperate latitudes, both in terrestrial and in marine environments. Coastal environments support many more species of

[Species composition of mycococci].
Mikrobiologiia, 1980The phenotypical similarity between 34 microbial strains was determined, and they were classified on the principle of maximal general similarity in 70 traits. All the strains were subdivided into three groups within which the similarity of the strains was not less than 85%. The groups correspond to the species Mycococcus capsulatus, M.

Cell Wall Composition of Hyphomicrobium Species
Journal of Bacteriology, 1968Chemical analysis of cell walls obtained from Hyphomicrobium B-522 and from a morphologically and nutritionally distinct organism, Hyphomicrobium neptunium (ATCC 15444), showed that the organisms have a similar cell wall composition, which is typical of gram-negative bacteria.

Lipid molecular species composition of thylakoid membranes
Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Lipids and Lipid Metabolism, 1980Lipid molecular species compositions of chloroplast thylakoid membranes of mesophyll cells from Spinacia oleracea, Glycine max, Oryza sativa and Zea mays and of bundle sheath cells from Zea mays have been quantitatively determined. No significant difference in the lipid molecular species composition was found among the five membrane sources.

SAMPLING THE SPECIES COMPOSITION OF A LANDSCAPE
Ecology, 2002The abundances and spatial distribution of species is central to biogeography and conservation. Several theories have been offered to explain landscape-scale species distribution patterns. The verification of biogeographic theories, as well as conservation decisions, must be based upon empirical data gathered from necessarily restricted censuses. It is

Essential Oil Composition of Three Globularia Species
Chemistry & Biodiversity, 2016AbstractThe chemical composition of the essential oils obtained by hydrodistillation from the aerial parts of Globularia cordifolia L., G. meridionalis (Podp.) O.Schwarz, and G. punctata Lapeyr. was characterized by GC‐FID and GC/MS analyses. Among the 33 identified compounds, the most abundant present in all investigated samples were oct‐1‐en‐3‐ol (2 ...
