Delineation of new proteolytic genomic species in the genus Acinetobacter

Twenty-seven proteolytic Acinetobacter strains differing phenotypically from the 12 previously described Acinetobacter species were studied by DNA/DNA hybridization using the S1 nuclease method to assess their relatedness.
