Investigation of Specific absorption rate (SAR) near model of fetus in uterus
2020 ELEKTRO, 2020This article deals with effects of electromagnetic fields (EMF) to different models that represent the model of a pregnant woman- AustinWoman, model in first trimester of pregnancy and model of fetus in uterus in 35 weeks of pregnancy. There are differences between specific absorption rate (SAR) near model of fetus in uterus and AustinWoman model in ...

Assessment of specific energy absorption rate (SAR) in the head from a TETRA handset
Physics in Medicine and Biology, 2003Finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) calculations of the specific energy absorption rate (SAR) from a representative TETRA handset have been performed in an anatomically realistic model of the head. TETRA (Terrestrial Trunked Radio) is a modern digital private mobile radio system designed to meet the requirements of professional users, such as the ...

Reduction of specific absorption rate (SAR) in the human head with materials and metamaterial
2009 International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Informatics, 2009The electromagnetic interaction between the antenna and the human head is reduced with materials and metamaterials. The reduction of Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) with materials and metamaterial is performed by the finite-difference time-domain method with Lossy-Drude model by CST Microwave Studio.

Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) distribution in human tissue with magnetic resonance
Proceedings of the 2012 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation, 2012This paper estimates the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) in various types of human tissue, exposed to electromagnetic field induced by wireless powering system based on strongly coupled magnetic resonance (SCMR). Simulations are carried out in Ansoft HFSS at various distances between the source and embedded resonator, to estimate the amount of ...

Increase of the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) by Magnetic Fractionation of Magnetic Fluids
Journal of Nanoparticle Research, 2003Magnetic fractionation was applied to a common magnetic fluid based on superparamagnetic iron-oxide nano-particles with core radius of 5nm. The fractions collected were investigated with respect to particle-sizes and the influence of fractionation on the specific absorption rate, in order to optimize magnetic fluids for the application in hyperthermia.

Traceable calibration of specific absorption rate (SAR) for mobile phone dosimetry
Conference on Precision Electromagnetic Measurements. Conference Digest. CPEM 2000 (Cat. No.00CH37031), 2002This paper describes an NPL project for providing traceability for SAR measurement in mobile phone dosimetry. Electric field implantable probe calibration facilities have been developed for this purpose. Computer simulation has been used to assist in analysing the uncertainty budgets for these calibrations.

Specific absorption rate (SAR) in humain body exposed to wirless base station fields
2017 9th International Conference on Electronics, Computers and Artificial Intelligence (ECAI), 2017The modeling of electromagnetic fields in the human body is important for analyzing the effects on health, because studies carried out in the laboratories have proved that these waves have harmful effects either long-term or short-term [1], but others have denied these hypotheses [2].

Calculation of specific absorption rate (SAR) in human brain neurons using complex permittivity
Journal of Medical Engineering & Technology, 2019The effect of the external electromagnetic radiation on the human brain has been investigated by the numerical calculation of the frequency-dependent complex permittivity. Using the Hodgkin-Huxley neuron model, an analytical method for the calculation of the electromagnetic power absorption in the brain neurons is proposed based on the complex ...

Reduction of specific absorption rate (SAR) in the human body by perfect conducting shield
Electronics and Communications in Japan (Part III: Fundamental Electronic Science), 1995AbstractAs application of electromaganetic waves have inceased, effect on the human body has became a concern .Especially, these effects are significant problems for researchers who, because of their occupation , receive high does of electromagnetic illumination. In this paper, for researchers dealing with high‐power electromagnetic waves, a method is ...

Reduction of specific absorption rate (SAR) in human body by a lossy dielectric shield
Electronics and Communications in Japan (Part I: Communications), 1998Although many studies on the biological effects of electromagnetic waves have been reported, there are few reports on protection of the human body against EM waves. In this paper, we consider a situation where a person is exposed to a plane wave (TM wave) with a frequency of 300 MHz (resonant frequency of human body) and a power density of 1 mW ...
