Capacitance measurement of magnetic specific heat

Journal of Applied Physics, 1984
A new technique–low frequency capacitance (C) measurement–has been used to study the critical behavior of both isotropic and anisotropic antiferromagnets. We find that dC/dT is accurately proportional to the known magnetic specific heat Cm of FeF2. This indicates that both dε/dT and dl/dT scale with Cm.

Real-time prostate-specific antigen detection with prostate-specific antigen imprinted capacitive biosensors

Analytica Chimica Acta, 2015
Prostate specific antigen (PSA) is a valuable biomarker for early detection of prostate cancer, the third most common cancer in men. Ultrasensitive detection of PSA is crucial to screen the prostate cancer in an early stage and to detect the recurrence of the disease after treatment.

Stable ultrahigh specific capacitance of NiO nanorod arrays

Nano Research, 2011
Previously reported examples of electrochemical pseudocapacitors based on cheap metal oxides have suffered from the need to compromise between specific capacitance, rate capacitance, and reversibility. Here we show that NiO nanorod arrays on Ni foam have a combination of ultrahigh specific capacitance (2018 F/g at 2.27 A/g), high power density (1536 F ...

RGO/MgO hybrid nanocomposites with high specific capacitance

Ceramics International, 2018
Abstract A scalable, cost effective synthesis of reduced graphene oxide (RGO)-magnesium oxide (MgO) hybrid nanocomposite (RGOMOHNC) is reported in the present work. The process involves an in-situ sonication method in aqueous medium at room temperature e.g., 30 °C.

Specific capacitance of Josephson tunnel junctions

IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 1981
The specific capacitance of several types of Josephson tunnel junctions has been measured by observing resonances in lightly-damped 2-junction interferometers. The capacitance was calculated using the resonance voltage, obtained by analyzing steps in the I-V characteristics, and the interferometer inductance, which was measured directly by the ...
