Absence of species specificity for mammalian sperm capacitation in vivo [PDF]

open access: yesReproduction, 1981
Spermatozoa and eggs of one species were transferred into the oviducts of other species to examine the specificity of mammalian sperm capacitation in vivo. Using mice, rats, hamsters and rabbits, 11 different combinations of gametes and host were tested, with cumulus-intact and cumulus-free eggs being placed in opposite oviducts of a recipient.

Synthesis and Electrochemical Properties of Nanocrystalline Nickel Molybdate

open access: yesФізика і хімія твердого тіла, 2021
We have obtained nanocrystalline hydrate and alpha phase of nickel molybdate by a hydrothermal technique. On the basis of the obtained cyclic voltammetry data, we have evaluated the contribution of faradaic and non-faradaic processes to the total ...

Preparation and electrochemical capacitance of high surface area TiO2–RuO2 aerogels

open access: yesOpen Ceramics, 2021
High surface area RuO2–TiO2 composite aerogels with different RuO2 concentrations were prepared through a modified non-alkoxide sol-gel route, followed by CO2 supercritical drying and evaluated as electrodes for energy storage devices.

Electron Beam Irradiated ZnO Nanoparticles / Oxidized MWCNTs Modified GCE as a Supercapacitor

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2015
A supercapacitor with promising features has been developed by modifying glassy carbon electrode (GCE) with electron beam irradiated ZnO nanoparticles (NPs) and oxidized MWCNTs (MWCNTsOX). ZnO NPs of spherical shape was synthesized by sonochemical method.

Construction and capacitive performance of N-doped carbon nanofiber coated graphene nanosheets

open access: yesCailiao gongcheng, 2022
The N-doped carbon nanofiber coated graphene nanosheets (NFGNs) were designed and constructed using EGNs as the skeleton and PPy as the carbon source. The samples were characterized by SEM, XRD, Raman, FTIR, XPS and BET.

Achieving high electrode specific capacitance with materials of low mass specific capacitance: Potentiostatically grown thick micro-nanoporous PEDOT films

open access: yesElectrochemistry Communications, 2007
Abstract Electrode materials for supercapacitors are at present commonly evaluated and selected by their mass specific capacitance ( C M , F g −1 ). However, using only this parameter may be a misleading practice because the electrode capacitance also depends on kinetics, and may not increase simply by increasing material mass.
