Machine-Specific Estimation of Milling Energy Consumption in Detailed Design
Journal of Manufacturing Science and Engineering, 2021AbstractManufacturing is a significant contributor to global greenhouse gas emissions and there is an urgent need to reduce the energy consumption of production processes. An important step towards this goal is proactively estimating process energy consumption at the detailed design stage.

Energy efficient basestation operation with traffic-specific energy consumption
2013 IEEE International Conference on Consumer Electronics (ICCE), 2013Basestation on-off algorithms for mobile-network energy saving beyond 4 G can be simplified due to absence of interference in multi-user MIMO systems. We discuss an on-off algorithm based on specific energy and its energy savings performance.

Specific energy consumption in the steel industry
Energy, 1995Abstract The specific energy consumption in the Indian steel industry is high compared to that in advanced countries. Data for four integrated steel plants in India have been analysed. The coals used are of much inferior quality. Experiments were conducted for selective removal of silica in coal.
