Poor man's holography: How far can it go?
One of the most exciting things in recent theoretical physics is the suspicion that gravity may be holographic, dual to some sort of quantum field theory living on the boundary with one less dimension.

Enhanced Endoscopic Internal Drainage of Gastric Abscess Through Additively Manufactured Stents
Postoperative gastric leaks are often treated with off‐label biliary double‐pigtail stents, yet conventional extruded designs are not optimized for leak anatomy, can migrate, and may limit abscess evacuation. PETALS is introduced to optimize transmural drainage geometry and enable patient‐specific 3D‐printable stents.

Respiratory Organ‐on‐a‐Chip for Disease Modeling: From Architecture to Functional Integration
Respiratory organ‐on‐a‐chip (ROC) models capture key mechanical and cellular cues of the human respiratory system, enabling quantitative dissection of disease mechanisms. This review links ROC architectures to disease modeling, functional integration, and commercialization, and proposes a decision framework that aligns model complexity with mechanistic

Rapid Fabrication of Self‐Propelled and Steerable Magnetic Microcatheters for Precision Medicine
A rapid Joule heating fabrication method for the production of self‐propelling, adaptive microcatheters, with tunable stiffness and integrated microfluidic channels is presented. Demonstrated through three microrobotic designs, including a steerable guiding catheter, an untethered wave‐crawling TubeBot, and a distal‐end propelled microcatheter, it was ...

Triply‐twinned architected lattices transform deformation from bending to stretching of struts, delivering up to threefold increases in stiffness and strength across polymeric and metallic systems. High‐resolution synchrotron XCT and image‐based simulations reveal how meta‐grain architecture, defects, and AM build orientation govern failure pathways ...

Estimating the extent of influence of two intrinsic fuelwood properties on acceptance/retention of some woody species in agroforestry practices in southwest Nigeria [PDF]
Biofuel is presently still central to survival and sustenance of livelihoods in many parts of sub-Sahara African region. Demand for woodfuel in the form of firewood and charcoal is continuously increasing in this region, and it is therefore necessary to ...

Evaluation of post-Einsteinian gravitational theories through parameterized post-Newtonian formalism [PDF]
Right after the elaboration and success of general relativity (GR), alternative theories for gravity began to appear. In order to verify and classify all these theories, specific tests have been developed, based on self-consistency and on completeness ...
