Next‐generation proteomics improves lung cancer risk prediction

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This is one of very few studies that used prediagnostic blood samples from participants of two large population‐based cohorts. We identified, evaluated, and validated an innovative protein marker model that outperformed an established risk prediction model and criteria employed by low‐dose computed tomography in lung cancer screening trials.

Effective therapeutic targeting of CTNNB1‐mutant hepatoblastoma with WNTinib

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
WNTinib, a Wnt/CTNNB1 inhibitor, was tested in hepatoblastoma (HB) experimental models. It delayed tumor growth and improved survival in CTNNB1‐mutant in vivo models. In organoids, WNTinib outperformed cisplatin and showed enhanced efficacy in combination therapy, supporting its potential as a targeted treatment for CTNNB1‐mutated HB.

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

Carbon dioxide adsorption of two-dimensional carbide MXenes

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Ceramics, 2018
Two-dimensional carbide MXenes (Ti3C2T x and V2CT x ) were prepared by exfoliating MAX phases (Ti3AlC2 and V2AlC) powders in the solution of sodium fluoride (NaF) and hydrochloric acid (HCl). The specific surface area (SSA) of as-prepared Ti3C2T x was 21

Effect of Pre-oxidation on Coal Specific Surface Area and Pore Size Distribution

open access: yesMeikuang Anquan, 2020
In order to explore the micro structure variation features of coal after pre-oxidation, the liquid nitrogen adsorption experiment was adopted to measure the specific surface area and pore structure of Liujia lignite, Sitai lignite, Tongxin bituminous ...

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

The Effect of 200 MPa Pressure on Specific Surface Area of Clay

open access: yesStudia Geotechnica et Mechanica, 2015
The paper presents the results of laboratory studies of the 200 MPa pressure effect on specific surface area of clay. The original high-pressure investigation stand was used for the pressure tests. Determination of the specific surface area was performed

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Size-Dependence of the Electrochemical Activity of Platinum Particles in the 1 to 2 Nanometer Range

open access: yesSurfaces
Monodisperse Pt nanoparticles supported on carbon (Pt/C) were prepared via an impregnation method. By changing the concentration of the platinum precursor in the initial reagent mixture, the average particle size (d) could be controlled to within a ...
