Observations of Binary Stars with the Differential Speckle Survey Instrument. II. Hipparcos Stars Observed in 2010 January and June [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The results of 497 speckle observations of Hipparcos stars and selected other targets are presented. Of these, 367 were resolved into components and 130 were unresolved.

Organoids in pediatric cancer research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Detection of Electromagnetic Inclusions using Topological Sensitivity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
In this article a topological sensitivity framework for far field detection of a diametrically small electromagnetic inclusion is established. The cases of single and multiple measurements of the electric far field scattering amplitude at a fixed ...

The anti‐CRISPR protein AcrIE8.1 inhibits the type I‐E CRISPR‐Cas system by directly binding to the Cascade subunit Cas11

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we present the structure of AcrIE8.1, a previously uncharacterized anti‐CRISPR protein that inhibits the type I‐E CRISPR‐Cas system. Through a combination of structural and biochemical analyses, we demonstrate that AcrIE8.1 directly binds to the Cas11 subunit of the Cascade complex to inhibit the CRISPR‐Cas system.

Deep learning approach to scalable imaging through scattering media [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
We propose a deep learning technique to exploit “deep speckle correlations”. Our work paves the way to a highly scalable deep learning approach for imaging through scattering media.Published ...

A Cre‐dependent lentiviral vector for neuron subtype‐specific expression of large proteins

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We designed a versatile and modular lentivector comprising a Cre‐dependent switch and self‐cleaving 2A peptide and tested it for co‐expression of GFP and a 2.8 kb gene of interest (GOI) in mouse cortical parvalbumin (PV+) interneurons and midbrain dopamine (TH+) neurons.

A ghost imaging framework based on laser mode speckle pattern for underwater environments

open access: yesCommunications Engineering
Due to the complex physical processes found in underwater environments, such as absorption, scattering, and noise, it is challenging to obtain high-quality images using conventional camera-based imaging techniques.

Interplay between circadian and other transcription factors—Implications for cycling transcriptome reprogramming

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This perspective highlights emerging insights into how the circadian transcription factor CLOCK:BMAL1 regulates chromatin architecture, cooperates with other transcription factors, and coordinates enhancer dynamics. We propose an updated framework for how circadian transcription factors operate within dynamic and multifactorial chromatin landscapes ...

Comparing laser speckle contrast imaging and indocyanine green angiography for assessment of parathyroid perfusion

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2023
Accurate intraoperative assessment of parathyroid blood flow is crucial to preserve function postoperatively. Indocyanine green (ICG) angiography has been successfully employed, however its conventional application has limitations.
