Speckle pattern interferometer
Optics Communications, 1976Abstract We describe in this paper a speckle interferometer constituted by two partially diffusing plates. They are illuminated by a laser and the resulting intensity distribution is observed in the image plane of the source. Each speckle of this plane (Fourier plane) is modulated by a ring system whose interference order depends on its phase.

Deep speckle correlation: a deep learning approach toward scalable imaging through scattering media [PDF]
Imaging through scattering is an important yet challenging problem. Tremendous progress has been made by exploiting the deterministic input–output “transmission matrix” for a fixed medium.

Statistics of stellar speckle patterns
Applied Optics, 1978Photon-counting techniques have been applied to a study of the intensity fluctuations in the image of an unresolved star at the Cassegrain focus of the 91-cm telescope of the Royal Greenwich Observatory. Time-averaged temporal autocorrelation functions and moments of intensity have been computed.

Heterodyne temporal speckle-pattern interferometry
Applied Optics, 2000In temporal speckle-pattern interferometry deformation information is extracted by a Fourier transform technique from the speckle pattern that is recorded over a period of time as the object is deformed. A limitation of the experimental arrangements reported to date is that the direction of the deformation cannot be determined. We propose removing this

Digital speckle-pattern shearing interferometry
Applied Optics, 1980An application of digital image processing techniques to speckle-shearing interferometry is described. A present system consists of an image-shearing camera using a Fresnel biprism of small angles and a digital TV-image processing facility. This interferometer makes it easy to measure in quasi-real-time spatial derivatives of surface displacement and ...

Fringe scanning speckle-pattern interferometry
Applied Optics, 1985Digital speckle-pattern interferometry systems for automatic measurement of deformations of a diffuse object are presented, which are based on a fringe scanning method with phase-shifted speckle interferograms. A digital speckle pattern before deformation of an object is recorded in the mass storage device of a computer facility.

Supergrowth in speckle patterns
Optics LettersSupergrowth occurs when the local amplitude growth rate of a wave is greater than that predicted by the band limit. While generating supergrowth on demand requires precise source modulation, we demonstrate that supergrowth occurs naturally in a sum of random plane waves.
