Speckle-tracking echocardiography combined with imaging mass spectrometry assesses region-dependent alterations [PDF]
Left ventricular (LV) contraction is characterized by shortening and thickening of longitudinal and circumferential fibres. To date, it is poorly understood how LV deformation is altered in the pathogenesis of streptozotocin (STZ)-induced type 1 diabetes

In a large cohort of patients with newly diagnosed transthyretin amyloid cardiomyopathy (ATTR‐CM), echocardiographic apical sparing was associated with increased left ventricular amyloid load and atrial remodelling. Quantitative biopsy analysis revealed that Perugini scores often failed to accurately reflect myocardial amyloid burden.

Coronary Occlusion Detection with 4D Optical Flow Based Strain Estimation on 4D Ultrasound [PDF]
Real-time three-dimensional echocardiography (RT3DE) offers an efficient way to obtain complete 3D images of the heart over an entire cardiac cycle in just a few seconds.

By detecting the subtle regional contractile dysfunction, 3D‐STE can efficiently distinguish CMCD and present a novel strategy for diagnosing INOCA. ABSTRACT Aim To assess the utility of three‐dimensional speckle‐tracking echocardiography (3D‐STE) in detecting coronary artery microcirculation dysfunction (CMCD) with non‐obstructive coronary artery ...

Utilidade do Strain Bidimensional por Speckle Tracking da Aurícula e Ventrículo Direito para Predizer Arritmias Tardias em Doentes Adultos com Tetralogia de Fallot Corrigida [PDF]
OBJECTIVE: To determine whether right ventricular and/or atrial speckle tracking strain is associated with previous arrhythmic events in patients with repaired tetralogy of Fallot. METHODS AND RESULTS: We studied right ventricular and atrial strain in

ABSTRACT Background A detailed evaluation of hemodynamics, supportive morphology, and deformation may help uncover the pathophysiology of hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy (HOCM) and the changes wrought by alcohol septal ablation (ASA). Purpose To investigate the global cardiac volume, myocardial deformation, and hemodynamic characteristics ...
