ABSTRACT Multisystemic smooth muscle dysfunction syndrome (MSMDS) is an ultra‐rare, ACTA2‐related disorder characterized by severe cerebrovascular disease, aortic aneurysms, and smooth muscle dysfunction. Using molecular dynamics simulations and in silico drug screening, we identified that sapropterin dihydrochloride (Kuvan) is a candidate capable of ...

X-Ray Spectra from General Relativistic Radiation Magnetohydrodynamic Simulations of Thin Disks
We compare X-ray emission from several general relativistic, multifrequency, radiation magnetohydrodynamic simulations of thin black hole accretion disks with different accretion rates and spins.

Objective To evaluate utility of an artificial intelligence (AI) health coach for systemic sclerosis (SSc) self‐management and identify patterns associated with participant engagement. Methods We conducted a mixed methods study in which an AI health coach, powered by a large language model (LLM), was used to support self‐management for SSc.

A numerical–experimental framework is developed for characterizing multi‐matrix fiber‐reinforced polymers (MM‐FRPs) combining epoxy and polyurethane matrices. Harmonic bending tests are integrated with finite element model updating (FEMU) to simultaneously identify elastic and viscoelastic material parameters.

Geometry‐driven thermal behavior in wire‐arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) influences microstructural evolution during nonequilibrium solidification of a chemically complex Fe–Cr–Nb–W–Mo–C nanocomposite system. By comparing different deposits configurations, distinct entropy–cooling rate correlations, segregation, and carbide evolution are revealed ...

Spectral signatures of bright grains determine chromospheric heating
Chromospheric heating is an important ingredient in the energy budget of the solar atmosphere. Quantifying chromospheric heating from observations is a challenging task because spectral observations suffer from non-LTE effects, and heating events may ...

Simulations of spectra from dense aluminium plasmas
Abstract We describe a computer code used to predict spectra arising from neutral and near neutral species in a dense, cool plasma. The ionization potential depression and excited states of the plasma ions must be included to obtain the correct ionization balance. Good agreement between the code predictions and observed spectra is obtained.
