Codes for spectral-amplitude-coding optical CDMA systems
Journal of Lightwave Technology, 2002Codes with ideal in-phase cross correlation (CC) are required in spectral-amplitude-coding optical code-division multiple-access (CDMA) systems since these codes eliminate multiuser interference and also suppress the effect of phase-induced intensity noise. However, little research work has been done on such codes although codes with ideal CC have been

Spectral amplitude coding OCDMA using and subtraction technique
Applied Optics, 2008An optical decoding technique is proposed for a spectral-amplitude-coding-optical code division multiple access, namely, the AND subtraction technique. The theory is being elaborated and experimental results have been done by comparing a double-weight code against the existing code, Hadamard.

Performance of OCDMA spectral-amplitude-coding with optical orthogonal codes
2002 3rd International Conference on Microwave and Millimeter Wave Technology, 2002. Proceedings. ICMMT 2002., 2003The scheme of FBG-based OCDMA spectral-amplitude-coding (SAC) and the designing of SAC encoder/decoder with the (N, w, /spl lambda/) = (q/sup 2/ + q + 1.q + 1.1) optical orthogonal codes are discussed. The performance of this system, especially the SIR and BER resulting from multi-access interference (MAI) are also analyzed in detail.

Code Family for Modified Spectral-Amplitude-Coding OCDMA Systems and Performance Analysis
Journal of Optical Communications and Networking, 2010A novel family of codes for modified spectral-amplitude-coding optical code division multiple access (SAC-OCDMA) is introduced. The proposed codes exist for more processing gains than the previously reported codes do. In the network using these codes, the number of users can be extended without any essential changes in the previous transmitters.

NLOS UV communication systems using spectral amplitude coding
2011 IEEE GLOBECOM Workshops (GC Wkshps), 2011In this paper a novel design for improving the performance of non-line of sight (NLOS) ultraviolet (UV) communication systems using spectral amplitude coding (SAC) is proposed. The same technique as in SAC-OCDMA systems is used as a high-order modulation instead of as a code.

Performance of EDW and MDW codes in spectral amplitude coded OCDMA system with SPD
Optical and Quantum Electronics, 2021This paper presents the work on the efficient scheme of Spectral Amplitude Coding Optical Code Division Multiple Access (SAC-OCDMA). This is one of the promising solution to the emerging need of high data rates. The systems based on OCDMA suffer from Multiple User Interference (MAI) and Phase-Induced Intensity Noise (PIIN).

Proposal of a novel code for spectral amplitude-coding optical CDMA systems
IEEE Photonics Technology Letters, 2002We have proposed a new modified quadratic congruence (MQC) code for spectral amplitude-coding optical code division multiple access (CDMA) systems. Although this new MQC code has many advantages, however, it only exists for each prime number p. In this letter, we have proposed a family of new codes which can be constructed by an algebraic technique ...

Sinewave Amplitude Coding Using Line Spectral Frequencies
Proceedings., IEEE Workshop on Speech Coding for Telecommunications,, 2005The Sinusoidal Transform Coder (STC) is a vocoding technique that has demonstrated synthetic speech of good quality at rates from 2400 b/s to 4800 b/s [1]. Heretofore, a cepstral model has been fitted to the sinewave amplitudes, and the cepstral coefficients have been quantized by transforming to a set a channel gains that represent a non-integer ...

A Comparison of Optical Sources for Spectral Amplitude Coding OCDMA
2006 IEEE LEOS Annual Meeting Conference Proceedings, 2006We consider different strategies for improving the capacity of SAC-OCDMA: incoherent sources, multi-laser sources and forward error correction (FEC) or coherent sources. Coherent sources must have precise frequency placement to avoid beating and outperform the FEC solution.

Matrix partitioning code family for spectral amplitude coding OCDMA
Photonic Network Communications, 2014This paper presents a family of newly constructed codes to mitigate the multiple access interference (MAI) and phase-induced intensity noise (PIIN) in spectral amplitude-coding optical code division multiple access systems. The family of newly constructed codes, named matrix portioning (MP) code, is derived from arithmetic sequence, and their cross ...
