Spectral analysis of a ghost [PDF]
A seismic line was shot such that the source‐ghost effect from two different dynamite source patterns could be compared. Two 15‐shot seismic datasets were created that were identical in all respects except that one used 4 kg of explosives in a single 18‐m hole, while the other used 2 kg of explosives in each of two 9‐m holes.

Spectral Analysis of Light [PDF]
Information from a light beam after its interaction with a solid is obtained from an analysis of the change in its intensity spectrum. Usually monochromators or interferometers are applied to perform this analysis. These instruments will be discussed in the current chapter.

Spectral Analysis and Spectral Synthesis
2012Spectral analysis and spectral synthesis deal with the description of translation invariant function spaces over locally compact Abelian groups. One considers the space Open image in new window of all complex valued continuous functions on a locally compact Abelian group G, which is a locally convex topological linear space with respect to the point ...

Spectral analysis of interpolation
Photogrammetria, 1981Abstract Basic concepts of spectral analysis are applied to interpret interpolation, smoothing and parametric transformation based on uniform sampling, as different types of discrete convolution. Spectral properties of interpolation are then discussed with main emphasis on its linear least-squares version.

Investigating causal relations by econometric models and cross-spectral methods
, 1969There occurs on some occasions a difficulty in deciding the direction of causality between two related variables and also whether or not feedback is occurring.

Spectral Analysis of Singularities
1979In Chapter VII we have seen that a distribution u of compact support is smooth if and only if the Fourier transform u is rapidly decreasing. If u is not smooth we can use the set of directions where u is not rapidly decreasing to describe which are the high frequency components of u causing the singularities.
