The Study of Oil Film Thickness Measurement on Water Surface Based on Laser Raman Spectroscopy
In order to realize the fast and non-contact detection of oil film thickness on water surface, a system based on laser Raman spectroscopy technologywas introduced in this paper. The 532 nm laser was used as the exciting source, and the result shows there

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Neuronal timescales are functionally dynamic and shaped by cortical microarchitecture
Complex cognitive functions such as working memory and decision-making require information maintenance over seconds to years, from transient sensory stimuli to long-term contextual cues. While theoretical accounts predict the emergence of a corresponding

Wavelet analysis of laser Doppler microcirculatory signals: Current applications and limitations
Laser Doppler flowmetry (LDF) has long been considered a gold standard for non-invasive assessment of skin microvascular function. Due to the laser Doppler (LD) microcirculatory signal’s complex biological and physiological context, using spectral ...

Study on Vibrational Spectra of Cypermethrin Based on Density Functional Theory
As a broad-spectrum insecticide, Cypermethrin is widely used in various agricultural products, such as fruits, vegetables and poultry and so on. Because of its large dosage and slow degradation rate, drug residues in fruits, vegetables, livestock and ...

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Development of Consumer-Friendly Surface Electromyography System for Muscle Fatigue Detection
In this study, a low-cost, wireless, and smartphone-controlled surface electromyography (EMG) system was designed and developed for consumers, and the recorded EMG signals were evaluated against a reference laboratory EMG system during fatiguing ...

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.
