Multi-spectral and digital elevation model information fusion for automatic 3d change detection

open access: yes, 2011
Various 2D and 3D change detection techniques have been developed in the literature to monitor changes inside urban areas. Nevertheless, most of theses techniques require the interaction of the user either to input data, set parameters, or to train ...

YlmG1 is localized exclusively to the chloroplast envelope membrane and is involved in preprotein translocation in Arabidopsis thaliana

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Cytosolically synthesized chloroplast preproteins are translocated across the outer and inner envelope membranes through translocons called TOC and TIC, respectively. In green algae and plants, the TIC core is composed of essential membrane proteins, Tic12, Tic20, and Tic214.

METHOD ON SIMULATING REMOTE SENSING IMAGE BAND BY USING GROUND-OBJECT SPECTRAL FEATURES STUDY

open access: yes, 2010
A method for remote sensing image band simulation based on ground-object spectral features study by support vector machine(SVM) was proposed, since the existing simulation methods had difficulties in the spectrum bands extension.

Evolutionarily divergent DUF4465 domains have a common vitamin B12‐binding function

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We show that DUF4465 family proteins, widespread across bacteria from gut microbiomes, hydrothermal vents, and soil, share a common vitamin B12‐binding function. These augmented β‐jellyroll proteins bind vitamin B12 via extended loops. Our findings establish sequence‐diverse DUF4465 proteins as a widespread class of B12‐binding proteins, highlighting ...

Systemic dysregulation of apolipoproteins in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis serum

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a fatal disease that damages motor neurons. This study found that people with ALS show significant changes in blood fats and the proteins that carry them. Several apolipoproteins were higher, lipid balances were altered, and normal protein–lipid relationships were disrupted.
