A Numerical Examination of an Unsteady Nonlinear MHD Flow in the Presence of Thermal Radiation and Heat Generation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Mechanics and Engineering, 2021
In this study, the spectral perturbation method and the spectral relaxation method are used to solve the nonlinear differential equations of an unsteady nonlinear MHD flow in the presence of thermal radiation and heat generation.

Integrated genomic and proteomic profiling reveals insights into chemoradiation resistance in cervical cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A comprehensive genomic and proteomic analysis of cervical cancer revealed STK11 and STX3 as a potential biomarkers of chemoradiation resistance. Our study demonstrated EGFR as a therapeutic target, paving the way for precision strategies to overcome treatment failure and the DNA repair pathway as a critical mechanism of resistance.

Self-organization in turbulence as a route to order in plasma and fluids

open access: yes, 2004
Transitions from turbulence to order are studied experimentally in thin fluid layers and magnetically confined toroidal plasma. It is shown that turbulence self-organizes through the mechanism of spectral condensation.

Coulomb integrals and conformal blocks in the AdS3-WZNW model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
We study spectral flow preserving four-point correlation functions in the AdS3-WZNW model using the Coulomb gas method on the sphere. We present a multiple integral realization of the conformal blocks and explicitly compute amplitudes involving operators

Spectral flow of exterior Landau-Robin hamiltonians [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We study the spectral flow of Landau-Robin hamiltonians in the exterior of a compact domain with smooth boundary. This provides a method to study the spectrum of the exterior Landau-Robin hamiltonian's dependence on the choice of Robin data, even ...

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Guide to Spectral Proper Orthogonal Decomposition [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
This paper discusses the spectral proper orthogonal decomposition and its use in identifying modes, or structures, in flow data. A specific algorithm based on estimating the cross-spectral density tensor with Welch’s method is presented, and guidance is ...

A new AdS4/CFT3 dual with extended SUSY and a spectral flow [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
A bstractWe construct a new AdS4 background in Type IIB supergravity by means of a non-Abelian T-duality transformation on the Type IIA dual of ABJM. The analysis of probe and particle-like branes suggests a dual CFT in which each of the gauge groups is ...

Patient‐specific pharmacogenomics demonstrates xCT as predictive therapeutic target in colon cancer with possible implications in tumor connectivity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study integrates transcriptomic profiling of matched tumor and healthy tissues from 32 colorectal cancer patients with functional validation in patient‐derived organoids, revealing dysregulated metabolic programs driven by overexpressed xCT (SLC7A11) and SLC3A2, identifying an oncogenic cystine/glutamate transporter signature linked to ...

CDK11 inhibition induces cytoplasmic p21WAF1 splice variant by p53 stabilisation and SF3B1 inactivation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CDK11 inhibition stabilises the tumour suppressor p53 and triggers the production of an alternative p21WAF1 splice variant p21L, through the inactivation of the spliceosomal protein SF3B1. Unlike the canonical p21WAF1 protein, p21L is localised in the cytoplasm and has reduced cell cycle‐blocking activity.
