Patient Activation in Childhood, Adolescent, and Young Adult Cancer Survivors: Current Insights and Implications for Survivorship Care—A Systematic Review From the e‐QuoL Project

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose Patient activation—encompassing knowledge, confidence, and skills in managing individual's health—is a cornerstone of person‐centered care. However, its significance among childhood, adolescent, and young adult cancer survivors (CAYACS) remains unexplored. This article examines the application of the 13‐item Patient Activation Measure (

Spectral flow and iteration of closed semi-Riemannian geodesics

open access: yes, 2007
We introduce the notion of spectral flow along a periodic semi-Riemannian geodesic, as a suitable substitute of the Morse index in the Riemannian case.

European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline and EXPeRT Recommendations for the Diagnosis and Management of Gastroenteropancreatic Neuroendocrine Neoplasms in Children and Adolescents

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Pediatric gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (GEP‐NENs) are extremely rare and clinically heterogeneous. Management has largely been extrapolated from adult practice. This European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline (ESCP), developed by the EXPeRT network in collaboration with adult NEN experts, provides (adult) evidence ...

Bulk–edge correspondence, spectral flow and Atiyah–Patodi–Singer theorem for the Z2-invariant in topological insulators [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
We study the bulk–edge correspondence in topological insulators by taking Fu–Kane spin pumping model as an example. We show that the Kane–Mele invariant in this model is Z 2 invariant modulo the spectral flow of a single-parameter family of 1 + 1 ...

Spectral flow and bifurcation for a class of strongly indefinite elliptic systems [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the Royal Society of Edinburgh: Section A Mathematics, 2015
We consider bifurcation of solutions from a given trivial branch for a class of strongly indefinite elliptic systems via the spectral flow. Our main results establish bifurcation invariants that can be obtained from the coefficients of the systems ...

Spectral flow for Dirac operators with magnetic links

open access: yes, 2019
This paper is devoted to the study of the spectral properties of Dirac operators on the three-sphere with singular magnetic fields supported on smooth, oriented links.

CPX‐351 in High‐Risk Relapsed Pediatric Acute Leukemia: Real‐World Phase 1 Data Establishing the FDA‐Approved Dose

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background/Objectives Outcomes for pediatric relapsed/refractory (R/R) acute myeloid leukemia (AML) remain dismal. CPX‐351, a liposomal formulation of cytarabine and daunorubicin, may have less off‐target toxicities than traditional chemotherapies and has shown improved outcomes for adults with newly diagnosed therapy‐related AML.

Spectral models for 1D blood flow simulations [PDF]

open access: yes2010 Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology, 2010
In this paper we introduce a new theoretical formulation for the description of the blood flow in the circulatory system. Starting from a linearized version of the Navier-Stokes equations, the Green's function of the propagation problem is computed in a rational form.

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).
