Ultraviolet: Spectral Data Index

2017
This index has been generated to enable one to identify a compound when an ultraviolet spectrum is the primary information available on the material. For specific aid in interpreting a spectrum, refer to the spectra-structure correlation charts in Section A, Part II, of the CRC Atlas of Spectral Data and Physical Constants for Organic Compounds.

Spectral measurement of frequency modulation index

Measurement Techniques, 1998
A method is proposed of measuring the frequency modulation index based on the evaluation of the amplitudes of four spectral lines. The method does not require a priori knowledge of the harmonic numbers of spectral components of frequency-modulated signals. The accuracy of the proposed method is evaluated.

Spectral Index–Flux Density Relation for Quasars

Nature, 1970
THE relation between the mean spectral indices α of extragalactic radio sources and their flux densities S(S∼v−a) at a frequency of 178 MHz has been obtained from data on the flux densities of all radio sources from the revised 3C catalogue at galactic latitudes |b| ≥ 10° at four frequencies: 86, 178, 750 and 1,400 MHz, measured by the P. N.

The interpretation of spectral vegetation indexes

IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, 1995
Empirical studies report several plausible correlations between transforms of spectral reflectance, called vegetation indexes, and parameters descriptive of vegetation leaf area, biomass and physiological functioning. However, most indexes can be generalized to show a derivative of surface reflectance with respect to wavelength.

Spectral index variations in supernova remnants

2008
Spectral index variations in supernova remnants are reviewed. In case of S147 the total emission is decomposed into small-scale and large-scale diffuse emission. Both components have different radio spectra. Possible consequences on the nature of the optical filaments in 5147 are indicated.

SPECTRAL INDEX VARIABILITY OF 12 BLAZARS

Publications of the Astronomical Observatory of Belgrade
Abstract. We present the results from the spectral index variability analysis for a sample of 12 newly discovered blazars. The blazars are selected from the sample of 47 Active Galac- tic Nuclei suggested for the link between Gaia Celestial Reference Frame and International Celestial Reference Frame.
