The Radio Spectral Index of 3C58 [PDF]
We report on 74 MHz and 330 MHz VLA observations of the plerionic supernova remnant 3C58. The radio spectral index, α, is uniform across the remnant to within 0.18, indicating a single source for the accelerated electrons. We find no emission from any shell surrounding the remnant.

A novel red-edge-based anomalous water detection index and diagnostic framework
Frequent water anomalies pose serious threats to human habitats. Owing to the complexity of aquatic environments and the diversity of anomaly types, satellite remote sensing still faces challenges.

Second-order corrections to slow-roll inflation in the brane cosmology
We calculate the power spectrum, spectral index, and running spectral index for the RS-II brane inflation in the high-energy regime using the slow-roll expansion. There exist several modifications.

Second-order corrections to noncommutative spacetime inflation
We investigate how the uncertainty of noncommutative spacetime affects on inflation. For this purpose, the noncommutative parameter $\mu_0$ is taken to be a zeroth order slow-roll parameter.

HST optical spectral index map of the jet of 3C 273 [PDF]
We present HST images at 622 nm and 300 nm of the jet in 3C273 and determine the run of the optical spectral index at 0.2" along the jet. The smoothness of spectral index changes shows that the physical conditions are varying smoothly across the jet ...

ABSTRACT Pediatric gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (GEP‐NENs) are extremely rare and clinically heterogeneous. Management has largely been extrapolated from adult practice. This European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline (ESCP), developed by the EXPeRT network in collaboration with adult NEN experts, provides (adult) evidence ...

The Viewing Angles of Broad Absorption Line Versus Unabsorbed Quasars
It was recently shown that there is a significant difference in the radio spectral index distributions of broad absorption line (BAL) quasars and unabsorbed quasars, with an overabundance of BAL quasars with steeper radio spectra.

X-ray power law spectra in active galactic nuclei [PDF]
X-ray spectra of active galactic nuclei (AGN) are usually described as power law spectra, characterized by the spectral slope $\alpha$ or photon index $\Gamma$. Here we discuss the X-ray spectral properties within the framework of clumpy accretion flows,

Spectral Banach Algebras of Bounded Index
The author deals mostly with \(I\)-rings (associative rings with the property that for every non-nilpotent element \(a\) there is a non-zero \(b\) with \(b = bab\)). We mention here some results of the paper with a Banach algebra flavour. Call a Banach algebra \(A\) spectral, if for every closed ideal \(I \subset A\) the quotient \(A/I\) is an \(I ...
