On the Broadening of Spectral Lines

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 1895
A.A. Michelson. On the broadening of spectral lines, 1895 Full text Albert Abraham Michelson (1852 – 1931) was a Poland-born (at this time occupied militarily by Prussia) Polish-American physicist of Jewish religion, known for his work on measuring the speed of light and especially for the Michelson–Morley experiment.

Spectral classification of emission-line galaxies [PDF]

open access: yes
A revised method of classification of narrow line active galaxies and H II region-like galaxies is proposed. It involves the line ratios (O III) lambda 5007/H beta, (N II) lambda 6583/H alpha, (S II) (lambda lambda 6716 = 6731)/H alpha, and (O I) lambda ...

Nicotinamide N‐methyltransferase promotes drug resistance in lung cancer, as revealed by nascent proteomic profiling

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
AZD9291 has shown promise in targeted cancer therapy but is limited by resistance. In this study, we employed metabolic labeling and LC–MS/MS to profile time‐resolved nascent protein perturbations, allowing dynamic tracking of drug‐responsive proteins. We demonstrated that increased NNMT expression is associated with drug resistance, highlighting NNMT ...

Candidate Spectral Lines at 6 and 15 MeV from GRB 200829A and GRB 160905A

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Letters
The discoveries of the evolving spectral line in gamma-ray burst (GRB) 221009A provide valuable information for understanding its extreme physical environment and emission mechanisms. In this work, we perform a comprehensive search for 3941 GRBs recorded

Characterizing the salivary RNA landscape to identify potential diagnostic, prognostic, and follow‐up biomarkers for breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

Adenosine‐to‐inosine editing of miR‐200b‐3p is associated with the progression of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A‐to‐I editing of miRNAs, particularly miR‐200b‐3p, contributes to HGSOC progression by enhancing cancer cell proliferation, migration and 3D growth. The edited form is linked to poorer patient survival and the identification of novel molecular targets.

Investigating the cell of origin and novel molecular targets in Merkel cell carcinoma: a historic misnomer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study indicates that Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) does not originate from Merkel cells, and identifies gene, protein & cellular expression of immune‐linked and neuroendocrine markers in primary and metastatic Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) tumor samples, linked to Merkel cell polyomavirus (MCPyV) status, with enrichment of B‐cell and other immune cell

Spectral Correction Impacts of Lightning from Tall Buildings on Channel Temperature Inversion

open access: yes应用气象学报
During the lightning spectral observation, the spectral intensity is significantly reduced due to instrumental factors and other factors. The spectral intensity attenuation significantly affects the accuracy of temperature calculations. Temperature, as a

The influence of ROS1 fusion partners and resistance mechanisms in ROS1‐TKI‐treated non‐small cell lung cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This real‐world study of ROS1+ NSCLC highlights fusion diversity, treatment outcomes with crizotinib and lorlatinib, and in vitro experiments with resistance mechanisms. G2032R drives strong resistance to ROS1‐targeted TKIs, especially lorlatinib. Fusion partner location does not affect overall survival to crizotinib or lorlatinib. Findings support the
