A method for measuring spatial resolution based on clinical chest CT sequence images

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose This study aimed to develop and validate a method for characterizing the spatial resolution of clinical chest computed tomography (CT) sequence images. Methods An algorithm for characterizing spatial resolution based on clinical chest CT sequence images was developed in Matlab (2021b).

Deconstructing Photospheric Spectral Lines in Solar and Stellar Flares

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
During solar flares, spectral lines formed in the photosphere have been shown to exhibit changes to their profiles despite the challenges of energy transfer to these depths.

When atomic norm meets the G-filter: A general framework for line spectral estimation [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
This paper proposes a novel approach for line spectral estimation which combines Georgiou's filter bank (G-filter) with atomic norm minimization (ANM). A key ingredient is a Carath\'{e}odory--Fej\'{e}r-type decomposition for the covariance matrix of the filter output.

Molecular Hydrogen Line Identifications in Solar Flares Observed by IRIS: Lower Atmospheric Structure from Radiometric Analysis

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
A rich spectrum of molecular hydrogen (H _2 ) emission lines is seen in sensitive observations from the far-ultraviolet (FUV) channels of the Interface Region Imaging Spectrograph (IRIS) during flare activity in solar active region NOAA Active Region ...
