Comment on “Models of intermediate spectral statistics” [PDF]
In [1] it was proposed, that the nearest-neighbor distribution $P(s)$ of the spectrum of the Bohr-Mottelson model is similar to the semi-Poisson distribution. We show however, that $P(s)$ of this model differs considerably in many aspects from semi-Poisson. In addition we give an asymptotic formula for $P(s)$ as $s \to 0$, which gives $P'(0) = π\sqrt{3}

The goal of this research is to assess the accuracy of the global geopotential models (GGMs) from 2018 until the present in the Red Sea. The assessment was done by using the gravitational spectral analysis of models with each other and with the ...

Narain transform for spectral deformations of random matrix models
We start from applying the general idea of spectral projection (suggested by Olshanski and Borodin and advocated by Tao) to the complex Wishart model. Combining the ideas of spectral projection with the insights from quantum mechanics, we derive in an ...

The feasibility of using hyperspectral imaging with convolutional neural network (CNN) to identify rice seed varieties was studied. Hyperspectral images of 4 rice seed varieties at two different spectral ranges (380–1030 nm and 874–1734 nm) were acquired.

Spectral embedding of regularized block models
Spectral embedding is a popular technique for the representation of graph data. Several regularization techniques have been proposed to improve the quality of the embedding with respect to downstream tasks like clustering. In this paper, we explain on a simple block model the impact of the complete graph regularization, whereby a constant is added to ...

Spectral nudging in a spectral regional climate model
Spectral nudging, a dynamic downscaling method, has been used as a suitable approach to force a regional model to adopt prescribed large-scales over the entire domain, not just at the lateral boundaries, while developing realistic detailed regional features consistent with the large-scales.

Spectral Bounds and Exit Times for a Stochastic Model of Corruption
We study a stochastic differential model for the dynamics of institutional corruption, extending a deterministic three-variable system—corruption perception, proportion of sanctioned acts, and policy laxity—by incorporating Gaussian perturbations into ...

Nonlinear unmixing of minerals based on the log and continuum removal model
Spectral mixing models for minerals can be complex, and choosing the right unmixing model is indispensable to ensure the accuracy of spectral unmixing. Continuum removal (CR) and natural log operation have the potential to eliminate nonlinear effects in ...
