Spectral Impulse Noise Model for Spectral Image Processing
2015The performance of an image processing algorithm can be assessed through its resulting images. However, in order to do so, both ground truth image and noisy target image with known properties are typically required. In the context of hyperspectral image processing, another constraint is introduced, i.e.

On the parallelization of global spectral weather models
Parallel Computing, 1994The parallelization of global spectral semi-implicit shallow water models has been studied, with a full three-dimensional primitive equation model in mind. Different strategies have been considered and their scalar stability properties have been analysed.

Spectral modeling of longitudinal road profiles
2015 IEEE 28th Canadian Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering (CCECE), 2015In this paper, for a quarter-car model, we derive covariance expressions for the MIRA spectrum and calculate the root-mean square outputs for the ISO 8608 classified roads. The derived results are compared with existing works in the literature. We carry out similar calculations for a line spectrum model.

We present results of calculated spectra of gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) according to the synchrotron shock emission model. We consider different physical conditions determining the low-energy burst emission. Future analysis of GRB time-resolved spectra for photon energies below the peak of the νFν spectrum may clarify important issues regarding the ...
