IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Estimation of Dynamic Latent Variable Models Using Simulated Nonparametric Moments [PDF]

open access: yes
. Given a model that can be simulated, conditional moments at a trial parameter value can be calculated with high accuracy by applying kernel smoothing methods to a long simulation.

The unity of instantaneous spectral moments and physical moments

open access: yes, 2012
A modulated oscillation in two or three dimensions can be represented as the trajectory traced out in space by a particle orbiting an ellipse, the properties of which vary as a function of time. Generalizing ideas from signal analysis, the signal variability can be described in terms of kinematic quantities, the instantaneous moments, that formalize ...

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Generalized Spectral Moments of the Iterated Line Graphs Sequence. A Novel Approach to QSPR Studies

open access: yes, 2019
The spectral moments of the iterated line graph sequence (ILGS) are defined and expressed in terms of structural fragments of the molecular graphs, i.e., embedding frequencies.

Ground Clutter and Noise Mitigation Based on Range–Doppler Spectral Processing for Polarimetric Weather Radar

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing
Spectral polarization filtering in the range–Doppler domain plays an important role in weather radar clutter mitigation. However, when ground clutter and precipitation overlap, these methods tend to filter out clutter-contaminated precipitation ...

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Universal twinkling exponents for spectral fluctuations associated with mixed chaology [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
For systems that are neither fully integrable nor fully chaotic, bifurcations of periodic orbits give rise to semiclassically emergent singularities in the fluctuating part Nfl of the energy-level counting function. The bifurcations dominate the spectral

Spectral moments of the real Ginibre ensemble

open access: yesThe Ramanujan Journal
AbstractThe moments of the real eigenvalues of real Ginibre matrices are investigated from the viewpoint of explicit formulas, differential and difference equations, and large N expansions. These topics are inter-related. For example, a third-order differential equation can be derived for the density of the real eigenvalues, and this can be used to ...

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.
