Field Induced Nodal Order Parameter in the Tunneling Spectrum of YBa$_2$Cu$_3$O$_{7-x}$ Superconductor

open access: yes, 2008
We report planar tunneling measurements on thin films of YBa$_2$Cu$_3$O$_{7-x}$ at various doping levels under magnetic fields. By choosing a special setup configuration, we have probed a field induced energy scale that dominates in the vicinity of a ...

Tumor‐Derived Exosomes Deliver Membrane‐Bound Fgl2 to Activate FcγRIIB‐Mediated Immunosuppression in Myeloid‐Derived Suppressor Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals that the Fgl2‐FcγRIIB signaling axis is a key mechanism by which MDSCs mediate tumor immune evasion. Tumor‐derived exosomes systemically activate MDSCs via this pathway, positioning this axis as a promising broad‐spectrum target for cancer immunotherapy.

Distribution of spectral weight in a system with disordered stripes

open access: yes, 2001
The ``band-structure'' of a disordered stripe array is computed and compared, at a qualitative level, to angle resolved photoemission experiments on the cuprate high temperature superconductors.

A second-order continuity domain-decomposition technique based on integrated Chebyshev polynomials for two-dimensional elliptic problems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
This paper presents a second-order continuity non-overlapping domain decomposition (DD) technique for numerically solving second-order elliptic problems in two-dimensional space.

Type‐II Dirac Fermions in Monolayer In2O: Interplay of Magnetotransport, Spin Hall Effect, and Superconductivity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
First‐principles calculations reveal that monolayer In2O${\rm In}_2{\rm O}$ hosts type‐II Dirac fermions near the Fermi level, which split into Weyl points under spin‐orbit coupling. The material exhibits negative and giant magnetoresistance, a pronounced spin Hall effect, and phonon‐mediated superconductivity at 1.5 K, establishing it as a unique ...

Exploring a Lower‐Resolution Physics Grid in CAM‐SE‐CSLAM

open access: yesJournal of Advances in Modeling Earth Systems, 2019
This paper describes the implementation of a coarser‐resolution physics grid into the Community Atmosphere Model (CAM), containing 59 fewer grid columns than the dynamics grid.

Advances of the Modified Spectral Deterministic method applied in the solution of two-dimensional neutron shielding problems considering linearly anisotropic scattering

open access: yesBrazilian Journal of Radiation Sciences
This work extends the application of the spectral-nodal method SDM, cf., Modified Spectral Deterministics (MSD-CN), to solve neutron shielding problems (fixed-source) in two-dimensional Cartesian rectangular geometry, considering problems with linearly ...

Building an EEG-fMRI multi-modal brain graph: a concurrent EEG-fMRI study

open access: yesFrontiers in Human Neuroscience, 2016
The topological architecture of brain connectivity has been well characterized by graph theory based analysis. However, previous studies have primarily built brain graphs based on a single modality of brain imaging data.

Projected Wavefunctions and High Temperature Superconductivity

open access: yes, 2001
We study the Hubbard model with parameters relevant to the cuprates, using variational Monte Carlo with projected d-wave states. For doping 0 < x < 0.35 we obtain a superconductor whose order parameter tracks the observed nonmonotonic Tc(x).
