Detecting Green Mold Pathogens on Lemons Using Hyperspectral Images
Hyperspectral images in the spectral wavelength range of 500 nm to 650 nm are used to detect green mold pathogens, which are parasitic on the surface of lemons.

Temporal and Spectral Properties of Gamma-Ray Flashes [PDF]
The temporal and spectral properties of terrestrial gamma-ray flashes (TGFs) are studied. The delay of low energy photons relative to high energy ones in the gamma-ray variations of the TGFs with high signal to noise ratio has been revealed by an ...

Inflation coupled to a Gauss-Bonnet term
The newly released Planck CMB data place tight constraints on slow-roll inflationary models. Some of commonly discussed inflationary potentials are disfavored due mainly to the large tensor-to-scalar ratio. In this paper we show that these potentials may

Adaptive Spectral Polarization Filter Design for Dual-polarization Weather Radar
This paper proposes an adaptive filtering method called the Adaptive Moving spectral Depolarization Ratio (AMsDR) filter to mitigate the clutter for dual-polarization weather radar based on Jensen-Shannon divergence principle.

Graphs (networks) with golden spectral ratio [PDF]
We propose two new spectral measures for graphs and networks which characterize the ratios between the width of the "bulk" part of the spectrum and the spectral gap, as well as the ratio between spectral length and the width of the "bulk" part of the spectrum.

A Normalized Hysteretic Energy Spectrum for Energy-Based Seismic Design [PDF]
To disclose the impacts of hysteretic energy (HE) demand on energy-based seismic design, this paper introduces the dimensionless parameter βEH to express the cumulative HE indirectly and establishes the βEH spectrum for energy-based seismic design. After

Observations of strong ground motion at hill sites in Mexico City from recent earthquakes [PDF]
Results of seismic response of the stations of the Acelerometric Network of Mexico City located in the hill zone are presented. Seven earthquakes from different seismic sources were analyzed, with magnitudes between 5.9 and 7.3.

Revealing the structure of land plant photosystem II: the journey from negative‐stain EM to cryo‐EM
Advances in cryo‐EM have revealed the detailed structure of Photosystem II, a key protein complex driving photosynthesis. This review traces the journey from early low‐resolution images to high‐resolution models, highlighting how these discoveries deepen our understanding of light harvesting and energy conversion in plants.

Using spectral flux ratios to standardize SN Ia luminosities [PDF]
We present a new method to standardize Type Ia supernova (SN Ia) luminosities to ~<0.13 magnitudes using flux ratios from a single flux-calibrated spectrum per SN. Using Nearby Supernova Factory spectrophotomery of 58 SNe Ia, we performed an unbiased search for flux ratios which correlate with SN Ia luminosity.
