On spectral sequences from Khovanov homology

open access: yes, 2020
There are a number of homological knot invariants, each satisfying an unoriented skein exact sequence, which can be realised as the limit page of a spectral sequence starting at a version of the Khovanov chain complex. Compositions of elementary 1-handle

Systematics of staggered fermion spectral properties and topology [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2005
The spectral properties of a variety of improved staggered operators are studied in quenched QCD. The systematic dependence of the infrared eigenvalue spectrum on i) improvement in the staggered operator, ii) improvement in the gauge field action, iii) lattice spacing and iv) lattice volume, is analyzed.

Emergent Topological Magnons and Thermal Hall Effect in 2D Filling‐Enforced Fully Compensated Ferrimagnets

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Schematic illustration of ferroelectric‐intercalation‐driven transitions in magnetic configurations and magnonic topological phases, together with the symmetry relations of magnonic Berry curvature. ABSTRACT Magnons in collinear magnets with vanishing net magnetization offer unique advantages for spin transport, including ultrafast dynamics and ...

Unlocking Multi‐Valley Energy Pockets and Interface‐Induced Phonon Filtering in InSb Thermoelectrics by Reaction‐Driven Interface Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
InSb, a narrow‐bandgap semiconductor with high carrier mobility, is promising for thermoelectric energy conversion but suffers from high lattice thermal conductivity and strong bipolar conduction. Here, in situ interface engineering using Co2O3 nanoprecursors forms hierarchical CoSbx/In2O3/CoSb3 heterostructures that enhance phonon scattering and ...

Strong boundedness of analytic functions in tubes

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1979
Certain classes of analytic functions in tube domains TC=ℝn+iC in n-dimensional complex space, where C is an open connected cone in ℝn, are studied. We show that the functions have a boundedness property in the strong topology of the space of tempered ...

Design Strategies and Emerging Applications of High‐Performance Flexible Piezoresistive Pressure Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Flexible piezoresistive pressure sensors underpin wearable and soft electronics. This review links sensing physics, including contact resistance modulation, quantum tunneling and percolation, to unified materials/structure design. We highlight composite and graded architectures, interfacial/porous engineering, and microstructured 3D conductive networks

The Seiberg-Witten equations on 3-manifolds with boundary [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
The Seiberg-Witten equations have proved to be quite powerful in studying smooth 4-manifolds since their landing in 1994. The corresponding Seiberg-Witten theory on closed 3-manifolds can either be obtained by a dimension reduction from the four ...

The Standardized Spectroscopic Mixture Model

open access: yesRemote Sensing
The standardized spectral mixture model combines the specificity of a physically based representation of a spectrally mixed pixel with the generality and portability of a spectral index.
