TUH-NAS: A Triple-Unit NAS Network for Hyperspectral Image Classification

open access: yesSensors
Over the last few years, neural architecture search (NAS) technology has achieved good results in hyperspectral image classification. Nevertheless, existing NAS-based classification methods have not specifically focused on the complex connection between ...

Patterning the Void: Combining L‐Systems with Archimedean Tessellations as a Perspective for Tissue Engineering Scaffolds

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces a novel multi‐scale scaffold design using L‐fractals arranged in Archimedean tessellations for tissue regeneration. Despite similar porosity, tiles display vastly different tensile responses (1–100 MPa) and deformation modes. In vitro experiments with hMSCs show geometry‐dependent growth and activity. Over 55 000 tile combinations

Contractive Spectral Triples for Crossed Products

open access: yesMATHEMATICA SCANDINAVICA, 2014
Connes showed that spectral triples encode (noncommutative) metric information. Further, Connes and Moscovici in their metric bundle construction showed that, as with the Takesaki duality theorem, forming a crossed product spectral triple can substantially simplify the structure.

Electroactive Metal–Organic Frameworks for Electrocatalysis

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Electrocatalysis is crucial in sustainable energy conversion as it enables efficient chemical transformations. The review discusses how metal–organic frameworks can revolutionize this field by offering tailorable structures and active site tunability, enabling efficient and selective electrocatalytic processes.

Band Alignment in In‐Oxo Metal Porphyrin SURMOF Heterojunctions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Porphyrin core metalation in indium‑oxo SURMOFs enables systematic tuning of band edge positions without altering the crystal structure. First‑principles calculations reveal type‑I and type‑II heterostructures as well as multi‑junction energy cascades, establishing a modular strategy for exciton funneling and charge separation in optoelectronic ...

Backbone Heterojunction Photocatalysts for Efficient Sacrificial Hydrogen Production

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Herein, a ‘single‐component’ organic semiconductor photocatalyst is presented in which a molecular donor is bonded to a polymer acceptor. The resultant material demonstrates exceptional photocatalytic activity for hydrogen evolution in aqueous triethylamine with an outstanding external quantum efficiency of 38% at 420 nm.

Spectral triples on proper étale groupoids

open access: yesJournal of Noncommutative Geometry, 2016
A proper étale Lie groupoid is modelled as a (noncommutative) spectral geometric space. The spectral triple is built on the algebra of smooth functions on the groupoid base which are invariant under the groupoid action. Stiefel–Whitney classes in Lie groupoid cohomology are introduced to measure the orientability of the tangent bundle and the ...

Expanding Chemical Space of Nucleic Acid Nanoparticles for Tunable Antiviral‐Like Immunomodulatory Responses and Potent Adjuvant Activity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We introduce a nucleic acid nanoparticle (NANP) platform designed to be rrecognized by the human innate immune system in a regulated manner. By changing chemical composition while maintaining constant architectural parameters, we identify key determinants of immunorecognition enabling the rational design of NANPs with tunable immune activation profiles

In Situ Study of Resistive Switching in a Nitride‐Based Memristive Device

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In situ TEM biasing experiment demonstrates the volatile I‐V characteristic of MIM lamella device. In situ STEM‐EELS Ti L2/L3 ratio maps provide direct evidence of the oxygen vacancies migrations under positive/negative electrical bias, which is critical for revealing the RS mechanism for the MIM lamella device.
