Decompactifying Spectral Triples
2019We show that one can approximate different geometries, including the locally compact ones using the approximation of their compactifications with a suitably chosen conformal rescaling. We illustrate the idea showing the family of Dirac operators on the “fuzzy circle” that approximate the flat Dirac operator on the line.

In this article we extend Connes' spectral triple formalism to include time evolution by introducing a strongly continuous automorphism group $\Phi_t$ that acts coherently on the algebra, Hilbert space, and Dirac operator.
