Real spectral triples on crossed products

open access: yesReviews in Mathematical Physics, 2022
Given a spectral triple on a unital [Formula: see text]-algebra [Formula: see text] and an equicontinuous action of a discrete group [Formula: see text] on [Formula: see text], a spectral triple on the reduced crossed product [Formula: see text]-algebra [Formula: see text] was constructed by Hawkins, Skalski, White and Zacharias in [On spectral triples

Broadband Spectral Shaping of Regenerative Amplification with Extra-Cavity Waveplate for Cross Polarized Wave Generation

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2022
We demonstrated extra-cavity gain narrowing pre-compensating in a regenerative amplifier with a multi-order triple-wavelength waveplate (WP). With a 1.117 mm thickness quartz waveplate, which was placed on the stretcher, the gain narrowing effect was ...

Spectral Triples on O N

open access: yes, 2018
We give a construction of an odd spectral triple on the Cuntz algebra $O_{N}$, whose $K$-homology class generates the odd $K$-homology group $K^1(O_{N})$. Using a metric measure space structure on the Cuntz-Renault groupoid, we introduce a singular integral operator which is the formal analogue of the logarithm of the Laplacian on a Riemannian manifold.

On spectral triples in quantum gravity II [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Noncommutative Geometry, 2009
A semifinite spectral triple for an algebra canonically associated to canonical quantum gravity is constructed. The algebra is generated by based loops in a triangulation and its barycentric subdivisions. The underlying space can be seen as a gauge fixing of the unconstrained state space of Loop Quantum Gravity. This article is the second of two papers

Modular Theory, Non-Commutative Geometry and Quantum Gravity

open access: yesSymmetry, Integrability and Geometry: Methods and Applications, 2010
This paper contains the first written exposition of some ideas (announced in a previous survey) on an approach to quantum gravity based on Tomita-Takesaki modular theory and A.

Hyperspectral Probing of Exciton dynamics and Multiplication in PbSe Nanocrystals

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2013
Height time hyperspectral near IR probing providing broad-band coverage is employed on PbSe nanocrystals, uncovering spectral evolution following high energy photo-excitation due to hot exciton relaxation and recombination.

Quantum Isometry Group for Spectral Triples with Real Structure

open access: yesSymmetry, Integrability and Geometry: Methods and Applications, 2010
Given a spectral triple of compact type with a real structure in the sense of [Dabrowski L., J. Geom. Phys. 56 (2006), 86-107] (which is a modification of Connes' original definition to accommodate examples coming from quantum group theory) and ...

Improved Automatic Detection of GPS Satellite Oscillator Anomaly using a Machine-Learning Algorithm

open access: yesNavigation, 2022
This paper presents a random forest-based machine learning algorithm to automatically detect satellite oscillator anomalies using dual- or triple-frequency GPS carrier phase measurements.

Spectral Triples in Particle Physics [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2018
We give an overview of the approach to the Standard Model of Particle Physics and its extensions based on the Noncommutative Geometry. The notion of spectral triples is introduced and their applications in particle physics are presented. We revisit known results based on different approaches within Noncommutative Geometry, list problems which appeared ...

Intersecting Quantum Gravity with Noncommutative Geometry - a Review

open access: yesSymmetry, Integrability and Geometry: Methods and Applications, 2012
We review applications of noncommutative geometry in canonical quantum gravity. First, we show that the framework of loop quantum gravity includes natural noncommutative structures which have, hitherto, not been explored.
