Mechanistic insights into HapC: A key enzyme in prodiginine biosynthesis in Hahella chejuensis
HapC catalyzes prodiginine biosynthesis through coordinated movements of its ATP‐binding, substrate‐binding, and catalytic‐swivel domains. The enzyme shows tolerance toward short‐chain MAP analogs, and docking analyses reveal key residues and structural features underlying its substrate flexibility.

Relationships between chick vocalizations and parental absence in Kentish Plovers
Chick calls within bird species vary greatly, often in relation to whether parents are present. We studied chick calls in a nidifugous shorebird, the Kentish Plover Anarhynchus alexandrinus, in three circumstances—(1) on the nest with parental presence; (2) on the nest with parental absence; and (3) out‐of‐nest with human observer presence—and ...

Abstract Passive acoustic monitoring (PAM) is a useful non‐destructive tool for evaluating species presence, diversity and abundance. However, in marine environments, a dearth of tools and methods for identifying wild, species‐specific fish calls makes quantitative PAM assessments for specific fish species challenging.

Listening to tuna: Acoustic characterization of captive juvenile yellowfin tuna (Thunnus albacares)
Abstract The effectiveness of passive acoustic monitoring (PAM) for studying marine biodiversity highly relies on comprehensive libraries of species‐specific sounds. While sound production is well‐documented in reef and freshwater fishes, the acoustic behaviour of ecologically and economically vital pelagic species like tunas still remains largely ...

Abstract Volatile‐rich xenolithic clasts in different types of brecciated meteorites represent unique pristine solar system material. This study investigates the maturity and thermal history of organic matter using Raman spectroscopy and aqueous alteration effects using infrared spectroscopy in the matrix of 15 volatile‐rich clasts (C1 and CM‐like ...
