Delivery Routes and Anesthesia Affect Cord Blood NGF, BDNF, and Neonatal Outcomes
Nerve growth factor (NGF) and brain‐derived neurotrophin (BDNF) play a role in brain maturation. Cord blood values do not differ between vaginal delivery and CS cases. In CS cases with spinal anesthesia, high BDNF and NGF values were associated with high cord blood pH and APGAR scores.

Pseudohyperphosphatemia in Multiple Myeloma: A Systematic Review of Case Reports and Case Series
Pseudohyperphosphatemia (PHP) is a clinically significant laboratory artifact in patients with multiple myeloma (MM). It is often caused by paraprotein interference with phosphate assays. This systematic review summarizes reported cases, underlying mechanisms, and diagnostic approaches to distinguish spurious from true hyperphosphatemia.

A laboratory‐customized, open‐sequence TaqMan‐MGB probe assay was developed for detecting CYP2C19*2 and CYP2C19*17 polymorphisms using dried blood spot‐derived DNA. The assay demonstrated allele‐specific discrimination, candidate LODs of 1.17 × 102 copies/μL for CYP2C19*2 and 0.94 × 103 copies/μL for CYP2C19*17, and repeatability with CVs below 10%. In

Spectrophotometric Determination of Hydrazine
Analytical Letters, 2007Hydrazine is determined spectrophotometrically by forming the derivative 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine from 2,4-dinitrochlorobenzene. The formed dinitro derivative undergoes condensation reaction to form the hydrazone with p-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde (p-DAB).

Spectrophotometric Determination of Anthramycin
Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 1971A quantitative UV spectrophotometric method for the determination of a new antitumor antibiotic, anthramycin, is described. The method is shown to be applicable for the determination of anthramycin in fermentation beers of Streptomyces refuineus var. thermotolerans (NRRL 3143) and in various preparations containing this antibiotic.

Spectrophotometric determination of formaldehyde
Talanta, 1988A new spectrophotometric method for the determination of micro amounts of formaldehyde in aqueous and methanol solutions is based on the oxidation of formaldehyde by hydrous silver oxide at pH 11-12.5 and oxidation of the metallic silver produced, with iron(III) in the presence of Ferrozine. The absorbance of the resulting iron(II)-Ferrozine complex at

Spectrophotometric determination of astemizole
Talanta, 1998Four simple and sensitive spectrophotometric methods for the determination of astemizole (AZ) in pure samples and pharmaceutical formulations are described. They are based on the oxidation of astemizole with excess N-bormosuccinimide (NBS) and determination of the unconsumed NBS with, metol-sulphanilamide (method A, lambda(max): 520 nm) or celestine ...

Spectrophotometric determination of thiambutosine
The Analyst, 1975N-(4-Butoxyphenyl)-N′-(4-dimethylaminophenyl)thiourea (thiambutosine) is made to react with 2,3-dichloro-1,4-naphthoquinone in an ethanolic medium and on rendering the reaction mixture alkaline with ethanolic ammonia solution a purple colour is developed with an absorption maximum at 540 nm. A procedure based on this reaction is described for the assay

Spectrophotometric determination of EDTA
Talanta, 1971Both iron(III) and its EDTA complex in 0-1N H(2)SO(4) medium absorb in the ultraviolet region of the spectrum, with absorption maxima at 305 and 258 nm respectively. EDTA can thus be determined by addition of excess of Fe(III) and measurement of the absorbance at the two wavelengths. An EDTA concentration as low as 10(-6)M can be determined with a fair

Spectrophotometric determination of clofibrate
Talanta, 1987A sensitive method for the rapid and accurate determination of clofibrate by hydroxamic acid formation is described. Hydroxylamine hydrochloride is reacted with clofibrate in alkaline medium to give 4-chlorophenoxyisobutyrohydroxamic acid, which forms a purple complex with iron(III) in acidic medium. Common excipients do not interfere.
