Non-grey dimming events of KIC 8462852 from GTC spectrophotometry [PDF]
We report ground-based spectrophotometry of KIC 8462852, during its first dimming events since the end of the Kepler mission. The dimmings show a clear colour-signature, and are deeper in visual blue wavelengths than in red ones.

AQUA‐FINS: Advanced Quantitative Underwater Analysis by a Flexible Integrated Nitrate Sensor
This work presents a flexible, integrated sensor array for real‐time monitoring of nitrate, pH, and temperature in aquaculture. The sensors exhibit high sensitivity and selectivity, while a regression model improves nitrate detection accuracy in dynamic conditions. Successful field deployment of the sensor array highlights its potential for maintaining

New bright optical spectrophotometric standards: A-type stars from the STIS Next Generation Spectral Library [PDF]
Exoplanets have sparked interest in extremely high signal-to-noise ratio spectroscopic observations of very bright stars, in a regime where flux calibrators, in particular DA white dwarfs, are not available. We argue that A-type stars offer a useful alternative and reliable space-based spectrophotometry is now available for a number of bright ones in ...

Multi-filter spectrophotometry simulations [PDF]
To complement both the multi-filter observations of quasar environments described in these proceedings, as well as the proposed UBC 2.7 m Liquid Mirror Telescope (LMT) redshift survey, we have initiated a program of simulated multi-filter ...

Development of an analytical method to determine malondialdehyde as an oxidative marker in cryopreserved bovine semen [PDF]
Frozen sperm is widely used in artificial insemination of cattle as well as other animal species. As a consequence of the freezing and thawing processes of semen, an excess of reactive oxygen species (ROS) are formed.

This study develops a silk fibroin (SF) nanoparticles hydrogel targeting neurokinin 1 receptor with CP‐99994 (CP). Combining CP and SF to form stable nanoparticles while incorporating a flexible hydrogel material results in a sustained‐release ophthalmic drop formulation (SF@CP@Gel), which provides a long‐lasting ophthalmic formulation with anti ...
