The presence of all‐trans retinoic acid (atRA) in polycaprolactone (PCL) microparticles can promote the degradation of fibrin constructs. This highlights the need for a more careful consideration of the effects that drug‐releasing microparticles can have on the scaffold materials when designing smart bioinks for the 3D printing of tissue constructs ...

Temperature Sensitive Pluronic F127‐Based Gels Incorporating Natural Therapeutic Agents
Pluronic F127‐based injectable gels are designed for therapeutic applications. The curcumin encapsulation efficiency and stability of formulations are investigated in aqueous environment and in acetic acid solutions. The viscoelasticity of gels, correlated with the network structure, is influenced by xanthan gum or acetic acid addition.

This study develops decellularized caprine liver scaffolds, preserving ECM components like collagen and GAGs. The scaffolds are combined with Chitosan‐PVA hydrogels, optimized via FT crosslinking, thus exhibiting shear‐thinning behavior, enhanced mechanical properties, and biocompatibility, supporting HepG2 cell adhesion, proliferation, and hepatic ...

Poly(amino acid) Synthesis from 2,5‐Diketopiperazines for Acid‐Actuated Drug Release
The ring‐opening polymerization (ROP) of 2,5‐diketopiperazines (2,5‐DKPs) to yield poly(amino acids) is reported. This route to poly(amino acids) has circularity, and permits the straightforward production of nanoparticles for controlled release applications.
