Composition of the L5 Mars Trojans: Neighbors, not Siblings
Mars is the only terrestrial planet known to have Tro jan (co-orbiting) asteroids, with a confirmed population of at least 4 objects. The origin of these objects is not known; while several have orbits that are stable on solar-system timescales, work by ...

Abstract The use of winter cover crops and conservation tillage are agricultural practices promoted to reduce nutrient and sediment loss from cropland, improve soil health, increase infiltration, and support farm nutrient cycling and ecosystem services. However, environmental performance of these practices is variable in the working farm landscape. The

Trans unsaturated fatty acids : a study of methodology and levels in New Zealand food fats including milkfat : a thesis presented in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Masters of Science in Biochemistry at Massey University, New Zealand [PDF]
Trans fatty acids (TFAs) occur naturally in small amounts in foods such as milk, butter and tallow as a result of biohydrogenation by ruminant gut microflora. They are formed in much larger quantities during chemical hydrogenation of fats and oils.

The ICOS OTC pCO2 instrument intercomparison
Abstract In 2021, the Ocean Thematic Centre of the European Research Infrastructure “Integrated Carbon Observation System” conducted an international partial pressure of carbon dioxide (pCO2) instrument intercomparison. The goal was to understand how different types of instrumentation for the measurement of ocean pCO2 compare to each other.

High Resolution, Differential, Near-infrared Transmission Spectroscopy of GJ 1214b
The nearby star GJ 1214 hosts a planet intermediate in radius and mass between Earth and Neptune, resulting in some uncertainty as to its nature. We have observed this planet, GJ 1214b, during transit with the high-resolution, near-infrared NIRSPEC ...

Cellulose sourced from cotton linters was utilized to synthesize cellulose esters, specifically hexanoate, benzoate, and a mixed hexanoate‐benzoate variant, which were evaluated as platforms for enzyme immobilization. These esters were shaped into various architectural forms, including electrospun mats, layered sandwich structures, and spherical shapes.

This study elaborates on the structure‐function role of (bio)polymer supports on the catalytic activity of polyaniline‐chitosan nanocomposites (NCs) that contain Ag nanoparticles (Ag@PNI‐(x)‐CHT). These NCs can be tailored to enhance selectivity in reductive transformations of model dyes: methylene blue (MB) and p‐nitrophenol (PNP).
