A general, versatile laser‐shock synthesis process is reported to produce various bimetallic CuNi, CuFe, CuCo, and medium‐entropy CuFeCoNi heterostructures, in which crystalline metal nanoparticles are anchored to amorphous hydroxide supports. During nitrate reduction reaction, the heterostructures undergo dynamic amorphous/crystalline reconstruction ...

Targeting the PDK1/c‐Myc/SOX10 Signaling in Oligodendrocytes Alleviates Neuropathic Pain
This work reveals that oligodendrocyte homeostasis, mediated by PDK1, is a critical determinant of neuropathic pain (NPP) pathogenesis. Disruption of PDK1 in oligodendrocytes impairs SOX10‐dependent myelination programs through c‐Myc accumulation, leading to disrupted myelination and the pathophysiology of NPP.

This system adopts a biomimetic phospholipid structure, covalently binding iNOS inhibitors, neuroprotective agent PCA and vitamin E derivatives through pH/ROS dual‐responsive bonds, and assembles them with Prussian blue nanozyme to form PBB@AHA. It can efficiently penetrate the blood‐brain barrier and simultaneously release multiple active components ...

Quantitative analysis of palm carotene using fourier transform infrared and near infrared spectroscopy [PDF]
β-Carotene content is usually determined by using ultraviolet (UV)-visible spectrophotometry at 446 nm.In this study, two spectroscopic techniques, namely, Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) and near infrared (NIR) spectroscopy, have been investigated ...

Analysis of Lipids in the Medulla of Japanese Hair and Their Function
The hair is composed of the cuticle (the outermost surface), cortex (its major part), and medulla (in the hair center). The lipid content of the medulla of Caucasian hair is relatively higher than that of African-American hair.
