Evaluating the uncertainty of the fiber spectroradiometer

SPIE Proceedings, 2015
ABSTRACT The fiber spectroradiometer is now widely used in the photometry and radiometry due to the convenience. Before use the calibration is usually traced back to th e tungsten lamp with known spectral irra diance. However, th e working condition may differ greatly from the calibration condition, such as the signal level, the spectrum shape, and et ...

LOW COST DIGITAL SPECTRORADIOMETER*

Photochemistry and Photobiology, 1989
Abstract— A self‐made low cost digitized single beam spectroradiometer is described. It is designed and calibrated to measure spectral radiant intensities in one nanometer steps for bandwidths between 1 and 20 nm within the wavelength range 200–1100 nm.

A miniature spectroradiometer for dosimetry

SPIE Proceedings, 1989
A miniature spectroradiometer for dosimetry is proposed. The design goal is a small and easily portable device which is intended to be used with and operated by a personal computer or a single-board computer. It has several applications. It may be used as a general purpose spectroradiometer in the ultraviolet, visible, and near infrared spectral ...

Wide angle spectroradiometer

Journal of Scientific Instruments, 1963
A spectroradiometer for the measurement of spectral irradiance (in μw cm-2 (3 nm)-1) in the wavelength range 420 nm to 1100 nm is described. It has an entrant system, consisting of an integrating sphere with a conical baffle inside, for obtaining good cosine response.

A LABORATORY INVESTIGATION OF TWO ULTRAVIOLET SPECTRORADIOMETERS

Photochemistry and Photobiology, 1994
Abstract—Spectral measurements of the solar UV irradiance at the earth's surface depend critically on the characteristics of the spectroradiometers and the procedures used in their calibration. Two UV spectroradiometers were subjected to a series of laboratory tests to investigate which factors were most significant in limiting the reliability of the ...

High-speed spectroradiometer for remote sensing

Applied Optics, 1987
A high-speed spectroradiometer designed for spectral reflectance measurement in remote sensing is described. This instrument uses a monochromatic grating and a photomultiplier system for light detection and sweeps over the 400-850-nm wavelength spectral range with the spectral resolution of 2 nm within 1 s.

Moorable Spectroradiometers In The BIOWATT Experiment

SPIE Proceedings, 1988
A new oceanographic instrument, the MER-2020, has been developed for the long term measurement of bio-optical properties. This instrument is a self-contained reflectance spectroradiometer with 40 megabytes of internal data storage and battery power permitting deployments for as long as 6 months.

European intercomparison of ultraviolet spectroradiometers

Environmental Technology, 1993
Abstract Accurate spectral measurements of solar ultraviolet radiation are essential to an understanding of the photochemical and biological effects of ozone depletion. The analysis of spatial and temporal variations in ultraviolet fluxes will depend on the collation of spectra from many independent laboratories.

Staring infrared imaging spectroradiometer

SPIE Proceedings, 1995
A design approach for developing a staring-dispersive infrared imaging spectroradiometer utilizing a fiber-optic image formatter to simultaneously capture, at rates greater then 100 Hz, 256 high-resolution spectral images of a 2D scene is described. Detailed performance analyses confirm that the spectral radiance within the image scene can be measured ...

Spectroradiometer Calibration Methods and Techniques

1997
As virtually all the environmental effects of ultraviolet radiation are strongly dependent on its wavelength, it is essential to obtain reliable measurements of the solar spectral irradiance received at the surface of the Earth. Such measurements, gathered at different times and places, can only be related to each other, and applied to the calculation ...
