The miscibility of foreign elements in rutile‐type IrO2 and SnO2 is greatly enhanced under high Laplace pressure, where their crystal size is reduced to the nanoscale. This enhancement leads to the successful synthesis of DSA‐composition solid‐solution nanocatalysts with notable durability during the acidic OER in water electrolysis.

NGTS-EB-8: A Double-lined Eclipsing M+M Binary Discovered by Citizen Scientists
We report the identification and characterization of a new binary system composed of two near-equal mass M-dwarfs. The binary NGTS-EB-8 was identified as a planet candidate in data from the Next Generation Transit Survey (NGTS) by citizen scientists ...

Carbon-enhanced metal-poor stars: effects of binary evolution at low metallicity
Recent spectroscopic surveys have revealed a large number of extremely metal-poor stars in the Galactic halo. Many of these stars are being subjected to detailed spectroscopic analysis, and a surprisingly large fraction, about 25 %, turn out to be carbon-

An abundance analysis of the single-lined spectroscopic binaries with barium stars-like orbital elements: II. The spectroscopic data [PDF]
High-resolution spectroscopic observations are presented for 19 single-lined binaries (giants and dwarfs) with orbital elements and mass functions similar to those of barium stars, two radial velocity non-variable barium stars, and two standards.

Ultra‐High‐Throughput Discovery of Multifunctional Polyphenolic Coatings on Droplet Microarrays
An ultra‐high‐throughput (UHT) combinatorial strategy enables the miniaturized synthesis and screening of ≈30 000 polyamine‐polyphenolic (PaPp) coatings using droplet microarrays (DMA). This approach reveals hundreds of previously unknown fluorescent, redox‐active, and antibacterial materials, including multifunctional, cell‐compatible surfaces ...

Three-dimensional Orbit and Dynamical Masses of GJ 105 AC
The precision of stellar models is higher than the precision at which we are able to measure the masses of most stars, with the notable exception of binaries where we can determine dynamical masses of the component stars.
