Runaway OB Stars in the Small Magellanic Cloud. III. Updated Kinematics and Insights into Dynamical versus Supernova Ejections

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
We use the kinematics of field OB stars to estimate the frequencies of runaway stars generated by the dynamical ejection scenario (DES), the binary supernova scenario (BSS), and the combined two-step mechanism.

Binary Electrolyte Additive‐Reinforced Interfacial Molecule Adsorption Layer for Ultra‐Stable Zinc Metal Anodes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A natural binary electrolyte additive is designed to achieve an enhanced interfacial molecule adsorption layer for Zn protection via reshaping the electric double‐layer structure. Consequently, the hydrogen evolution reaction is suppressed and a robust inorganic solid electrolyte interphase is constructed for dendrite‐free Zn plating.

A Catalog of Early-type Runaway Stars from LAMOST DR8

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Supplement Series
Runaway stars are OB-type stars ejected from their birthplace with large peculiar velocities. The leading hypothesis addressed in their formation includes the supernova ejection mechanism and the dynamic ejection scenario.

Kinetics Manipulation Enabled by Solubility Control Toward 19% Organic Solar Cells via Compatible Air Coating

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A twisted guest acceptor BTP‐4Cl is introduced to fine‐tune the solubility of host components to address the excessive aggregation issue in blade‐coated processing. It is found that the twisted molecular conformation profited in inducing longer intermolecular distance and dispersing molecular distribution in the solvent.

Discovery of a New Cu‐Based Chalcogenide with High zT Near Room Temperature: Low‐Cost Alternative for the Bi2Te3‐Based Thermoelectrics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This study reports the discovery of a stable γ‐phase in Cu6Te3‐xS1+x, achieving high thermoelectric performance with a Seebeck coefficient up to 200 µVK⁻¹ and ultralow thermal conductivity (≈0.25 Wm⁻¹K⁻¹). The material eliminates phase transitions, exhibits a zT of ≈1.1 at 500 K, and offers a cost‐effective, eco‐friendly alternative for waste heat ...

Triplet State Suppression for Energy Loss Reduction in 20% Nonhalogenated Solvent Processed Binary Organic Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Asymmetric small molecule acceptor with a methoxylated end group is produced here, whose oxygen vibration is found effective in suppressing triplet state formation, thereby minimizing non‐radiative energy loss for 20% efficiency in nonhalogenated solvent cast binary organic solar cells.
