Pathogenic Neurofibromatosis type 1 gene variants in tumors of non‐NF1 patients and role of R1276

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Somatic variants of the neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) gene occur across neoplasms without clinical manifestation of the disease NF1. We identified emerging somatic pathogenic NF1 variants and hotspots, for example, at the arginine finger 1276. Those missense variants provide fundamental information about neurofibromin's role in cancer.

Spectrum Allocation Scheme Based on Stable Matching in Hierarchical Cognitive Satellite Network

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2022
Aiming at the problem that the number of users and available bandwidth of the current satellite service are increasing significantly, and the spectrum utilization rate of the existing spectrum allocation scheme is low, this paper first establishes a ...

Digital twins to accelerate target identification and drug development for immune‐mediated disorders

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Digital twins integrate patient‐derived molecular and clinical data into personalised computational models that simulate disease mechanisms. They enable rapid identification and validation of therapeutic targets, prediction of drug responses, and prioritisation of candidate interventions.

A CR Spectrum Allocation Algorithm in Smart Grid Wireless Sensor Network

open access: yesAlgorithms, 2014
Cognitive radio (CR) method was introduced in smart grid communication systems to resolve potential maladies such as the coexistence of heterogeneous networks, overloaded data flow, diversity in data structures, and unstable quality of service (QOS).

Efficacy of Intermittent Theta‐Burst Stimulation for Prolonged Disorders of Consciousness: A Prospective, Randomized, Controlled Trial

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Emerging evidence suggests that low‐frequency neural oscillations are dynamically regulated by consciousness levels, with the recovery of low cortical activity potentially serving as a neurophysiological substrate for conscious emergence. Targeted enhancement of these low‐frequency rhythms in patients with disorders of consciousness

Coordinated Spectrum Allocation and Coexistence Management in CBRS-SAS Wireless Networks

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Since the introduction of the idea of cognitive radio, various approaches towards spectrum sharing have been considered, for example, the Licensed Shared Access (LSA), which is considered in Europe, or Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) with ...

Hybrid spectrum allocation scheme in wireless cellular networks [PDF]

open access: yes2011 7th International Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing Conference, 2011
Mobile services have seen a major upswing driven by the bandwidth hungry applications thus leading to higher data rate requirements on the wireless networks. Spectrum being the most precious resource in the wireless industry is of keen interest. Various spectrum assignment and frequency reuse schemes have been proposed in literature.

Robust Power and Subcarrier Allocation for OFDM-based Cognitive Radio Networks Considering Spectrum Sensing Uncertainties [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
‎In this paper‎, ‎we address power and subcarrier allocation for cooperative cognitive radio (CR) networks in the presence of spectrum sensing errors‎. ‎First‎, ‎we derive the mutual interference of primary and secondary networks affecting each other by ...

Understanding and Optimizing Li Substitution in P2‐Type Sodium Layered Oxides for Sodium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work explores Li‐substituted P2 layered oxides for Na‐ion batteries by crystallographic and electrochemical studies. The effect of lithium on superstructure orderings, on phase transitions during synthesis and electrochemical cycling and on the interplay of O‐ versus TM‐redox is revealed via various advanced techniques, including semi‐simultaneous
