III. Researches in spectrum-analysis in connexion with the spectrum of the Sun [PDF]
Abstract The author, after referring to the researches in which he has been engaged since January 1869 in conjunction with Dr. Frankland, refers to the evidence obtained by them as to the thickening and thinning of spectral lines by variations of pressure, and to the disappearance of certain lines when the method employed by them ...

Near-Infrared Reflectivity of Superconducting FeSe Thin Films
We present an investigation on the intrinsic optical properties of superconducting FeSe thin films deposited on CaF2 substrates. It is found that the samples respond strongly to the near-infrared (NIR) irradiation in different temperature regimes.

Study on Fatigue Spectrum Analysis and Reliability Analysis of Multilayer Flexible Riser
Multilayer composite flexible risers have been widely used in engineering. However, this type of structure is complex, as there are influences between layers. Moreover, a range of uncertain factors need to be considered in fatigue analysis. Therefore, it

Functional singular spectrum analysis [PDF]
In this paper, we develop a new extension of the singular spectrum analysis (SSA) called functional SSA to analyze functional time series. The new methodology is constructed by integrating ideas from functional data analysis and univariate SSA. Specifically, we introduce a trajectory operator in the functional world, which is equivalent to the ...
