Abstract We present a new, non-destructive electrical technique, Power Spectrum Analysis (PSA). PSA as described here uses off-normal biasing, an unconventional way of powering microelectronics devices. PSA with off-normal biasing can be used to detect subtle differences between microelectronic devices.

Publisher Summary Spectrum analysis transforms a displacement/time chart into an amplitude/frequency chart known as a spectrum. This analysis consists of decomposing a time-varying signal into its component pure tones. Pure tones are sinusoidal wave forms of constant frequency and amplitude.

IETE Technical Review, 2000
In the analysis of EMG signal during dynamic movement, we have proposed an estimation algorithm for the time varying parameters. The parameters correspond to less biased time varying reflection coefficients. We determine the less biased estimation using a locally quasi-stationary model and name these parameters “K-parameters”.

Spectrum analysis of the electroencephalogram
Computer Programs in Biomedicine, 1970Abstract Digital Auto- and Cross-spectral Analysis has become an important method for quantifying and analyzing electroencephalographic data. This paper presents a set of four procedures written in ALGOL, which perform spectrum analysis of up to 14 simultaneously recorded EEG channels on a medium to large size computer.

Automatic spectrum analyzers (ASA's) combine a powerful RF measurement system with computer control and data processing. This article discusses a typical ASA block diagram (analog and digital subsystems), shows how the calibration procedures used in such systems enhance the accuracy of measurements, and discusses some of the problems with current ASA ...

Damped multichannel singular spectrum analysis for 3D random noise attenuation
Geophysics, 2015Multichannel singular spectrum analysis (MSSA) is an effective algorithm for random noise attenuation in seismic data, which decomposes the vector space of the Hankel matrix of the noisy signal into a signal subspace and a noise subspace by truncated ...

Multifractal analysis of the Lyapunov spectrum
Chaos, Solitons & Fractals, 2002The multifractal spectrum of Lyapunov exponents is studied under a weaker hypotesis on dynamical systems than in earlier papers. Namely, instead of imposing expanding or Axiom A assumptions on a diffeomorphism \(f\) in question the authors assume just expansivity, specification and the Bowen condition on \(\phi=\|Df\|\) which ensures existence and ...

Spectrum Analysis of the Stream Cipher
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2012Classical cryptography theory holds that the true random sequence is better than any pseudorandom sequence on the security of stream cipher. So people prefer the pseudorandom sequence with long-period to the pseudorandom sequence with short-period. In this paper, it is proved through power spectrum analysis that the pseudorandom sequence with long ...

In the previous chapter we examined the theoretical background to the Fourier series representation of periodic waveforms, and the use of the Fourier Transform to examine data in the frequency domain. In this chapter we shall concentrate on the practical side of spectral analysis.

Posterior singular spectrum analysis
Statistical Analysis and Data Mining: The ASA Data Science Journal, 2013A method is proposed for finding interesting underlying features of a time series, such as trends, maxima, minima, and oscillations. A combination of singular spectrum analysis SSA and Bayesian modeling is used where the credibility of SSA signal components is analyzed via posterior simulation.
